How do you do the blood donation thing? (Despite the fact that I have the phobia I have had needles and i.v. before. Hate it but I can handle it).

I've been debating on whether or not to share this...but here goes
by findingmyway infor those of you who will be disgusted that i even attended the meeting, let alone allow my son to give his first public talk tonight, please, spare me the shouting messages.
i take full responsibility for what i experienced this evening.
yet, i feel the need to share this experience that has me enraged.

You have my respect and support for going back.
I myself went back once just for the hell of it...when I had my dead straight hair down past my shoulders plus 5 earrings in my left ear and 3 in my right at the age of 20. In a suit of course! Goes great with the air and earrings (really it did).
The looks on their faces were worth the price of admission - namely the price of dealing with them.
Your the only other person i've come across with, dare I say it (?), the balls to go back to that circus clown show. See their behavior for what it truely was...
A show of their childish egotism!!!

Yup! And I was fool enough to believe we were the only real christians and on top of that the only true religion. I bought nearly all of it as a young child. Ignorance is not bliss.

having lost all the jw friends, you find that you can't bring yourself to let others get too close, even pushing them away (old habbit dying hard).

These also explain why I go to pieces when close relationships with girlfriends I've made since leaving end. All the feelings of misplaced trust, betrayal and heart tearing flood back, each time with even greator force because I feel like a complete failure yet again!
Same for me with girlfriends. There really isn't more for me to say about it. You said it perfectly. -

Demon story #1
I once went to a hatian voodoo party/ceremony just for the hell of it to see the "demons" i've been warned about all my life. I saw so called possessons. It was interesting. But not exactly a religion I want to get into if ya know what I mean. The city I live in has a large hatian population and I was invited through someone I knew. I have to say the drumming was awsome! But "possession" (trance or whatever you want to describe it as) was nothing to write home about. I felt like it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. Had to go see.

Glad to see those additions. I had this chat on another forum and most of what kept coming up is what i've mentioned. Your adding in some other reasons for the same problems. Let's see what else others contribute. This is an interesting twist so far on the usual theme.
