Well, at least you weren't caught off gaurd with this.... Stay positive - don't let other people dictate your own emotions. What I mean by that is, don't get freaked out by anything and don't let anyone intimidate you. And congratulations on getting out EARLY, before you have a wife and kids to worry about shunning you as well. See this as impetus to get out early and do what you want with your life with no hidden agendas anymore.

Street Witnessing
by parlay ini've noticed in my area (ny metro) that jw's count time doing "street witnessing".. do you see the same in your area?.
sitting on benches drinking coffee counting time.
standing on corners laughing and conversating among themselves as people walk right by.. if they do acknowledge a passerby, it's a last minute casual holding out of a magazine or tract.

I did street witness back when I was pioneering, usually from 7 to 9. That was the sweet spot, because you could go down to the corner, get some coffee, eat a donut, stand around holding magazines up. Sometimes I'd forget what I was there about... it was that easy. Of course, I looked like an idiot, but hey, i was doing it for Jehawbweh! This was the only way i got my time in. Every once in a while some people would approach me and talk, a lot of nice people ho actually treated me like a human - even some people offering me coffee inside the cafe. But then i also had this veteran guy who regularly came to verbally abuse me - I mean this guy literally 'seethed with anger.' I would just brush him off, tell him I was a socialist, and that he lost Vietnam for us. That really got him going....

The average R&F don't know where the FDS begins and where it ends. The Watchtower always refers to the FDS by proxy - not really saying that yes, it is these 10-12 men living at Brooklyn who meet every Wednesday to hash out policy like children and are generally deluded enough to actually believe they will see the face of God upon dying. I am horrified when I think of the kind of people that are mentally unstable enough to actually beleive that. In fact, I have a suspicion that the perentage of those partaking from the memorial is roughly the same as the percentage of people in society who are clinically insane or delusional - the type that have grandiose thoughts.
The reason I say this is because I have known several of the "annointed" over the years and all of them told me in confidence that they did, in fact, have visionary dreams. Now, at the time I thought it was freaking awesome - but still wondered about it because I knew the WT said no one has those dreams anymore. Looking back on it, it is quite obvious. -

There is no specific procedure for such a situation. I had a peron to the exact same thing when I was passing the bread to an aisle. I did nothing, just moved along.

Such an encouraging WT lesson as always. You'd think that with how burdensome the world is, according to the WTS, we would have encouraging, uplifting, heartening articles, bolstering our faith! Instead we get articles on how some people have "yet to understand the need to keep the volume at a reasonable level." WTF? So granny won't get her eardrums blown out? Oh, I get it. We must keep the volume at a reasonable level in order to glorify the Grand Ear-Creator... we wouldn't want to actually encourage dancing and other nefarious activity.

What I mean is why the hell would you want to go through this process of apealing? Just get on with your life and don't look back. OK, but Noah still could not have put all 7 gazillion species on his boat. Science does not attempt to explain the existense of God (or non-existence). It only explains what IS and how it MAY have come about. Nothing more, nothing less. It does not explain or attempt to explain why - leave that to the cults and misfits who feel too insecure to go through life without believing in a Flying Spagetti Monster protecting them.
