It is very very plausible though. I have known someone like this particular psycho. Someone who did not really listen.
According to SixofNine, it is impossible that you know someone like that, since they simply do not exist. And according to freddo, you are very gullible to believe it in the first place.
Might I also add that you are at risk of being labelled a chauvinist for believing such tripe, and anything you say in your defense will be used against you in a court of false outrage.

The implication in your argument, of course, is that people choose their religion the same way they choose which bicycle or TV to buy.
I'd say that people are, in general, being more consumer-savvy with more important matters like religion, but that most people still do not make those choices in a purely cerebral fashion.

Of course a person needs to save alot of gas to pay for a small $40,000 vehicle.
But some people are stupid. Actually, a lot of people are stupid. There is also the "ecologically righteous" factor, where the liberal well-heeled buy what they think is socially acceptable. That's why Prius's were essentially sold-out before they even hit the lots. Economically, they are a waste of money... but perhaps just as much a waste of money as your typical Yukon or Escalade or Silverado.

JWs who don't believe they have the truth. What percent?
by I quit! inevery year i think about this and i believe every year the percent goes up but it is hard to know what the number is because any doubting jw lives in fear of being found out.
they know how their lives would be permanently changed if they openly stated that they just couldn't believe it anymore.
i think there could be kingdom halls were 50% of the people attending don't believe they have the truth but think they are the only one that feels that way because every other doubter is doing the same thing they are doing.

WHERE in the bible does it say each creative day was 6,000 years? Ending around 1975??
by Witness 007 incould be 8,000 or 18,000 years long......if to jehovah each "a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years a day.
" 1975 armagedon theory was based on this.
{notice how this theory has since died off} my wife was told off by an elder for giving a talk on "creative days not 24 hours" but not stating each was 6,000 years long...she said she didn't believe it....he backed off and said okay then!
