Congratulating the WTS
by greendawn inwe must congratulate them for their business genious, their marketing methods and the subtle way they teach these to their followers who think that they are been taught religion rather than marketing.
for their ability to present many pairs of contradictory ideas without their followers objecting to this.
for their ability to make their followers accept with admiration totally silly ideas .

Yes Sunspot, I am angry now as well, more with myself than the wt really, I spent over half my life accepting everything they taught with barely a doubt or question in my mind. Now I would find ti difficult to believe almost anything they say. If they said "today is monday" I would probably check the calendar!

I stopped clapping at this year's dc, and quite a few others joined me. I haven't applauded much at public talks lately either, except in relief when the talk finished. I have been at dcs when the audience didn't clap when they were supposed to, and it was kind of odd, those speakers really love to milk the applause though.

I can see your point, when I was 20 I was at uni, the jws caught me the year after, and I was apprehensive as I entered adulthood. Now I'm well into middle age, and still apprehensive because of the sheltered life I led in dubland. I f it wasn't for dedpoet's support, I think I'd crack up at the prospect of life outside the org.

Yes, I went with some work colleagues on friday night, the first time since I was 20! I had a great time, what I can remember of it, and I will do it again soon, but perhaps with a lower alcohol intake lol. I have generally been going out with dedpoet to a few pubs as well.
