Hi Scooby,
Yes, I remember you, nice to see you again.
well do you?
and what do you remember....... i got something to tell you........... ;-)
Hi Scooby,
Yes, I remember you, nice to see you again.
i just spent a helluva a long morning in bed even though i was awake early, then did some yoga before breakfast and a piping hot shower.
now i feel like i still have a whole fabulous day to enjoy doing exactly what i want.. in my other life i used to dread sundays.
i would read my book to take my mind off the imminent boredom right up until we got to the hall doors and then 2 hours of monotony would follow - the sickening nerves of making myself answer up, often choking mid sentence because i was so nervous, but worse was to come.
And whoever mentioned the guilt of not going on the service in the afternoon
I used to prefer Sunday afternoon meetings in some ways, because I could avoid the service on Sunday mornings without much, if anything being said. Very few people knew I hadn't been out anyway. But with Sunday mornings, everyone knew if you didn't go on service, and I went unwillingly a few times, rather that be made to feel guilty for not going.
Enjoy you lamb, Crumpet, I certainly enjoyed the chicken
.....not a very long one though.
next weekend is a bit special for trev and i, and we are going off on holiday on sunday (25th) to spend 8 days relaxing on the meditterranean island of sardinia.
we will be staying in villasimius, and there's a bit of info on that and the rest of the island on the link below.. http://www.discover-sardinia.com/regions/villasimius.htm.
I know what ya'll are gonna do!!
Sssshhhh, don't tell anyone lol!
Have a great time, you both deserve much happines!!
Thanks CBD, I think a great time is guaranteed, somehow
I don't want to here a word from you till you get home!!
I doubt anyone will hear too much from us, though Marion will be here looking after our dog, and we'll let her know when we arrive in Sardinia, so I guess she will let you all know that.
round two with me and my parents went terrble last night.
my mother was sobbing and my dad had the biggext look of dissapointment on his face.
i couldn't think straight.
So sorry to hear that tbl.
It must be very hard to get your point of view across to someone who really doesn't want to listen to it. I'm not surprised that your parents are bringing the elders in, they probably think the elders will be able to "talk some sense into you". When you do see them, I would concur with Scullys' advice, and suggest you have someone with you, preferably a non jw.
Try to be non confrontational with your parents though - they love you and want what's best for you, which in their mind is to be a jw.
good luck
Linda
we are getting ready to host my mates extended family today.
hosting this particular extended .
family of jehovahs witnesses has become fairly predictable over the years.
Hi Who Are You, and welcome
It is interesting to hear them quote the bible verses of drinking wine “beinggood for the spirit”. This ritual always precedes the inevitable time that I am taken aside later in
the day be each of the swaying matriarchs and patriarchs of the family to be told that a little wine
is good for the spirit. If previous experience is any indication, then by midday their collective
spirits should be quite high.
Yes, drinking is the only way a lot of jws are able to lighten up a little.
i am collecting guitar musicians.......their music.
i am collecting great perfomances.....rare ones of musicians that would not otherwise be together......
i wold love your input.........and would share music with those interested.
Here are some videos of another of Trevs favourites, Michael Bloomfield

where we live is a very *new agey*, *earthy* area.
when i was a witness i never thought twice about my astrological sign or how it relates to anyone else.
here, people are always asking what my sign is and i've really been entertained by how i see patterns with people in my life and how i've noticed i'm actually attracted to certain *signs* .
Some of my work colleagues read their horoscopes every day, but it's not something I've ever bothered with, even before I was a jw, or since.
I was born on April 19th, which makes me an Aries
good morning fellow jwd'ers!
it's my hubby's b-day today.
we woke up to a beautiful dusting of snow and lots of time to just chill and go play today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ITHINKISEE!!!!!
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY
it's like, i have to have food as it's like, a physiological need and it's proven by science n stuff... .
but then i feel i want men too, but like, sometimes, i don't eat before a date... .
can these two arenas of my life coexist??
Thats easy. Find a man who knows his way around a kitchen
That would be my solution too.
In fact, Trev is cooking Sunday dinner right now...
Linda
just wanted to say hi to everyone and if you get a chance, drop me a line.
