i posted this on a different thread regarding my mother but her sister (my aunt) told her that because i left the "truth" and am living my life outside of bible principles, that the "demons" are affecting her.
she told my mom that twice last week, "the demons pushed her" and caused her to fall.
because my mother associates with me and my mom associates with her sister----therefore the "contact" is made thru my mother to her.

I am glad you pointed that out one of the things that have bewildered me over the years are these URBAN LEGENDS being used as a threat mechanism... after all you dont see things like "THE SMURFS ARE DEMONIC" in "The Organizations" doctrine yet threats by means of these "URBAN LEGENDS" kept me terrified during my youth.

sorry to be a downer...but i'm just new here.
i've been scanning topics and reading people's various stories....and i have to say, a lot of what i'm seeing is just eating me up.
i've actually teared up a few times.
There are just as many of good things to say about wittness's rank and file members. Putting aside the FACT that "The Organization" tear's familys apart. It is wonderful to know your not alone if you have been affected this way..... personally I find atheist and people that gone to the other extreme are just feeling rejected or treated unfair so they just wish to get it out.. and after living and reading some of their stories I can see why they feel that way especially those loosing entire familys.
There is alot of nit picking over change in policy or doctrine.... alot of religions change doctrine. Alot of nit picking over decisions that elders have made ..... unfortunatly work for any huge system or like anything else in life people make mistakes. its like blamming the entire catholic religion is false becuse some priests did something wrong... ridiculus and to be frank about it the fact that there is some anonntimity to the internet does not make it all true ... there are liars everywhere so if you think the internet is free from it just becuse peeople can post up there thoughts you got it wrong hehehe.
Pesonally even tho "The Oranization" has caused me great grief and loss of family over the years I try not to hold any resentment to it and try and find ways turn it into a positive experience... for example taking a stand against saluting the flag imho helped me in many other ways in life for instance by doing this as a child I have the strength in life now to stand up for what I belive is "right" and many other things learn't at the meetings helped me. I was really hoping for this forum to be mixed with and open disscussion about the feelings good and bad about the wittnesses the positive and negitive experiences and share them.
So far this site seems pretty fairly blanced although there are more people posting about the wrongs I feel there are just more people that are venting or or hurt than people that are sharing their feelings about the positive. I always try and keep in mind that I can just not click the link or respond to those that have ideas and feelings that I am not interested in.

Ask her to gather up all the demon possesed items call in the brothers and try and burn them lol ,,,, according to what I was told ..... via hearsey those items cant be burned "this is some how proof that they are demonzied" make sure you have a video cam rolling for the burning so that the whole world can see proof of this! .... oh and if they are claiming some how the demons are inside YOU they are condeming YOU with out a fair TEST to see if they are inside YOU since they can not set you on fire (ironic and self justifying) to see weather or not you burn or not as proof of demons.
Hmmmmm the whole buring things to prove or disprove demons starting to draw a clear picture now :)

I have also had all those same feelings and thought's about the WTS ... is it all about them or is it about jehovah. but I held in as long as I could with my feelings becuse of KNOWING that if anything else was said that I would loose my entire family. Personally any religion that asks that you SHUN family or others that you have a MORAL obligation to be nice too can not be the truth. This fact is pretty painfully obvious to people forced into the religion by being born into The Truth and many that sit in the hall everyday.. the problem is that THERE IS NO WAY TO EXIT with a clear concious! they hold your family hostage.

growing up as a jehovahs wittness my parents used to rationalize or have a urban ledgends reguarding why we could not do something or why something was evil/bad.
some of these i have heard in various forms around here in the forums.
here are some expamples of what i mean.
SOOooOooo that must mean if I throw an action figure in the water and it floats it must be demonized lol ......
i wont be around tonight as some jagoff cut me off, i hit a road pylon and wrecked by bike.
