  i just read from the quotes website that the wts discourages people to play chess!

  i never knew that!lol they compare it to actual war and say it can make one competitive and aggresive.

  i've never read such bullshit, if i didn't know better, i would have thought that this was a mock article.

  Letter claiming that myspace is wicked or evil or something slanderous could get them (WTBS)in ALOT of trouble. 2¢ I am pretty sure the WTBS is very careful of the wording since they are jehovahs lawyers....

  well, i have been trying to fade peacefully for months, for the sake of my wife and family.

  to do this, i have had to hold my tongue about most of what i know, and i have done a good job of it until now.

  the other day, i was hanging out with my buddy who misses most meetings, but still believes it's the truth.

  I never felt any inclination to CONFESS my sins to anyone. What makes people go to the elders and say that they have had an affair or that they are lezbians or whatever. What compels you after you watch a steady stream of people leave the "backroom" in tears NEVER to regain their status in the kingdomhall Is it the fact you got caught? or is it that you trust MEN with your repentance.. how can any imperfect man DECIDE when you are repentant do they have a repent-O-meter©? And isn't the fact that you admit to the sin ENOUGH to signify your repentant? Also I always felt that if we where in fact JEHOVAHS WITNESSES shouldnt we be allowed to have WITNESSES in the back room for that hearing. Anyone that would like to CONFESS their sins please PM me :)

  i am a 25 year old female, and have been studing the truth for the past 2years.

  my mother taught it to me since i was little, it always made sense to me and was something i wanted in my life.i hadn't made it a big part of my life, until two years ago when i started my own study.

  i am getting older and would like to meet someone to be with who is a jehovahs witness, or someone like me who is working towards that.

  There are tons of JW dating sites online.....this, however is an apostate ex-JW site so I dont think you are going to find what you are looking for here!

  Read the logo, Its clear that the owner/creator intended for this site to be about jehovahs wittness discussion and that EVERYONES welcome.. Please dont speak for me I am neither an ex jw or an apostate.... but am here to simply discuss jehovahs wittnesses. I do however find it ironic that self serving self rightous atttitudes all or nothing mentality still presists the anti jws are no better than the jw's they dont want anyone to belive anything different than the way that they them selfs belive! Whats it hurt if she is NOT and apostate or ex jw....

  Good Elders and Bad Elders, how do you know which is which?

  probably some elders really care for brothers and sisters in the congregation, while other elders just do their job automatically like yes men... probably you've know both kinds.. there is an elder phoning me once a month, very regularly, and i just don't know if it's because he cares for me, or because he has a boss that will question him on my whereabouts.... i was just wondering if he was a good loving elder, or just a yes man following orders...

  back in the day.. early 60s elders used to be chosen or moved up ranks and most of them where OKay, well marginal. now a days it seems like any taco breathed construction worker can become a elder if he.
  
  1.plays his cards right (kisses ass).
  
  2.gets his whole unemployed family to street work (all 12 of them).
  
  3.moves up through the ranks promoting other taco breathed construction workers.
  
  Honestly the people on here (however dubious) seem to know a hella lot more about the bible than most of the elders I have seen around the last few years.. (blondie comes to mind) and a few of you guys know a hella lot more about faith and healing than ANY elder I have ever met...
  
  Its almost funny in our area to see the old school rich/semi-educated people mingle with the mostly third world new converts to jw's. recently I was given some advice from an elder it was funny how he actually belived that he was educated enough to advise me.

  We (me and my gf) usally go to java jungle coffee shop that over looks the huntington beach pier.... like a 4 block walk from here.
