A call from family - Armageddon this month!

i very seldom receive a call from my jw siblings, i mean seldom.

i can count them on my hand in past 10 years.

while we talk about mom a lot and i am in touch with her, i was very surprised when i received this call.

i`ve been thinking, a thread was put up about a month ago asking the question " why me?

basically why some of us find out ttatt while others are so blinded, good, sincere people that we love.

well after some consideration i have come to the conclusion that 1) some are in the truth 2) others want truth.

Very good point. I also think most who learn TTATT are very sincere honest people two. They know there is deep flaws and feel it's wrong that a so called religion can exploit many good people too!

while we talk about mom a lot and i am in touch with her, i was very surprised when i received this call.

So I guess the great tribulation is either going to be extremely short or bypasses, Jehovah has grown impatient and decided not to wait for the "cry" for peace and security so he is going to put it in the UN leaders hearts to turn on religion.

Now I have a problem with the latter, actually, it's more of a dilemma. If Jehovah is going to put it into the hearts of the UN leaders , Wouldn't there have been the best opportunity just last week when every single world leader congregated to listen to the pope? It's October, JW's love October!

Can the special pioneers, bethelites, and many other "servants", who are getting their benefits stripped, SUE THE WTBS?

i know in america, corporations, and businesses, are many times obligated to atleast continue certain medical benefits for an extended period of time, like a year or two, even after they are "let go".

i wonder how many older, special pioneers, missionarys, bethelites, and such, have pre-existing medical conditions, and need to have to continue their benefits for care?.

the wts, can send a letter saying " sorry your shits gone in 3 months", but is this really legal?

The simple answer is no. special pioneers have to agree to sign a form to live a life of poverty!

13 dead so far. MY heart goes out to the families. Without trying to be heartless, can someone please tell me why there has been a spike in shootings of recent? It's like so many people are pissed off so they take their angst out on innocent people!

japan - special pioneers under age 50 are being told they will now only be regular pioneers.barcelona spain - the regional translation (catalan) office is being closed.mexico - special pioneers being told they will only be regular pioneers - no age specified on this one.. the scene of the org's world is changing - rapidly!.

Someone said the special pioneers get paid. Probably the same amount bethelites do, so as watchtower is a business, it makes sense to demote special pioneers to regular pioneers that way the watchtower no longer have to "pay" them.

Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS

cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.

of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

Lloyd could easily counter the DMCA if he should wish to. He is not as broke as everyone thinks he is!

The Elders of the congregations make for the worst possible "shepards".

the main goal of a shepard, is to keep the flock as safe as possible.

the loss of just a single sheep, could be devastating to a flock, and a shepards financial well being.

every sheep is valuable, from a monetary stanpoint, and future strength of the flock.

It's just fluff the watchtower spew out. The real reason elders are there is to safeguard the org from any litigation, Unpaid, unqualified lawyers if you will. I had a "shepherding visit" one time and this elder told me that not only do they look after the welfare of the congregation, also they have to protect against lawsuits. At the time, I shrugged that comment off thinking that cannot happen often, not in gods clean organisation! Now, that is a comment that actually sticks with me because it does reflect the role they have in the congregation.

There are some who become elders blindly thinking he wants to help the flock, more often than not this type of person usually steps down due to disillusionment.Then there is the power crazy person who relishes lording it over the flock. These are the ones that never step down and more than likely the kind of elder you are describing.
