Yeah, drew, it is not so much about blaming pro-lifers (who mean well, I'm sure) as it is about connecting the dots - i.e., unintended consequences: if pro-lifers are successful, there will be disastrous consequences.
OK - I am again going to shock the people on the website by agreeing with BizzyBee and Beks on the topic in this limited sense:
If the hard pro-lifers succeed in completely outlawing abortion, then we will have abortion by back-room abortionists who are essentially butchers in hiding, and things will be worse.
If the hard pro-lifers succeed in intimidation of inspection of such abortion facilities (and here I mean in the negative sense - causing a backwards reaction AGAINST inspections by intimidation of abortion in general - (think about it)) - then this kind of horror will be automatically repeated.
I do not like abortion. I do not think it should be used as a general form of birth control.
However, it is a reality in this society - therefore, it should be done as humanely and as safely as possible.
NOW - a note to the far left: If abortion is reality and should be made as safe and humane as possible, (but NOT banned) then so are guns a reality. Comments?
