Yes thanks for your help, i've worked it out, it was just me sitting there perplexed when it asked me to enter my favourite song! Even if I put in a few, I think it would just confuse it, I have such eclectic taste. BUT the good thing is, you can put in the song you like at the moment and it plays lots of similar stuff you are in the mood for!

i was listening to a testimonial by valerie acuff and she said that she was sitting in an assembly, looking around at the crowd and thinking to herself, "this is your family, these are your people.".

Wow, some fantastic experiences! I was sitting right here, in this chair, looking at this very website and reading about 607, the Un scandal and many others, I spent a whole day straight doing it. I had arrived here by searching for 607/586 after being prompted to do that by a work colleague that asked me to prove it to her (very clever apostasy!! She didn't tell me til after she had once been a witness!)
The next day was I think the happiest of my life. I just kept giggling out loud to myself that I didn't have to do it anymore!! Now of course I cant believe I did it so long, but also accept many cleverer people than me are fooled.
I saw a sister out in service just today and just felt incredibly sorry for her! I was going to the pub to have lunch with my friends, wearing my jeans and feeling so happy. She looked tired, weighed down, cold and dressed like an old lady!!

imagine, if it was possible, if you could go back in time, some 20 or 30 or even 50 years in the past, and telling the witnesses back then, that by 2006, absolutely nothing the watchtower predicted would happen.
what do you think would have been their reaction?
They'd open the latest awake and point you to the article where it tells us planet earth will explode by the year 2000, or there will be a nuclear war, or it will not be able to support life, or we will be over populated and die.. or some other such lie usually told on the first couple of pages before the article about the paradise!!! PROOF!!

Lol at Blues Brother. This is how I feel now, when I get the odd flash of "oh shit, what if it's true".. fortunately they are getting further and further apart! I now realise I dont like this God of the bible, and even if he does exist his treatment of humans is diabolical, and he has always manipulated them with fear and punishment. I dont want to serve him.
I SO remember that talk about serving God even if Armageddon were not coming, i always thought it was about as true as "his commandments are not burdensome"!!

jw memorial is coming up, i told myself i'm not going this year, having a mother a couple brothers and two sisters still "in" all pressuring me to attend, saying things like "this may be the last memorial b4 the end", you've heard the spiel before.....crap like that is putting a lot a pressure on me this year, wish they would just stop it and worry about their own crappy lives!
I'm very much in the same boat. However I think I've decided not to go. I feel that if you go you are only perpetuating that you still believe and give your family hope. If you dont go it's a clear sign you have finished.
I had the 'last memorial before the end' speech, so I asked my mum if going to the memorial would be enough for me to survive armageddon, and she couldn't really answer it was! So I said I'd rather be hung for a sheep as for a lamb! I plan to have something else going on that night!

Not a case of needing his money is it!!!
Its a case where he LIED in court to try and save his money, and smear his wifes reputation, she had to prove that the baby was his!!!!
But he would rather humiliate her than divide the assets up fairly. Because this wasn't a case of her having everything, just a fair division at the end of a long marraige.
