due to my husbands interactions with my mom with questions about the history of the wbts, i received a phone call from her.
(keep in mind she is 72 years a witness).
i brought up the un thing and she said, thats from apostates.
Leaving the JWs is usually a process involving many periods of "recovering" from doubt. You've planted a seed. She probably has other similar events (you mentioned 1975) from her past that she's repressing. Keep showing her love and give her more time for these seeds to grow.

So, if a JW's conscience will permit them to accept all these fractions--especially the ones made from Hemoglobin (which makes up 33 per cent of the red blood cells)--then there really would be no reason for any JW to die because of the blood issue anymore? Right? Or, am I missing something?
Of course, there will be JWs who will decide they can't accept some of the fractions. But, if a JW accepts all these fractions as permissable then they can do this and not be disfellowshipped.
Or am I reading too much into this?

I remember I was at an assembly in Norwalk, California and our speaker was Angelo Manera, Jr. I bet somewhere someone has a tape of the talk and it'll surface one day.
I remember thinking at the time that this could come back to haunt us...guess it did.
i had a look at the wikipedia entry for jehovahs witnesses yesterday and noticed that it wasn't as comprehensive as it once was.. most links to non-pro-jw sites have gone as is anything truly critical or exposing of their beliefs and practices.. last night i added a link to this site to the "other sources" section.
this morning it is gone.. i wonder whether this is some private zealot who has decided to do it or an organised campaign?.

Start with reading the editing policies for Wikipedia. Wikipedia does not exist just to post embarrassing things about the WT Society. All Wikipedia editors have prejudices but try to make your edits fit the guidelines re: a neutral point of view and remember it's an encyclopedia for the masses...not just for JWs. So JW jargon needs to be avoided.
