  Anyone remember LP album circa 68 with Awake on back cover?

  i have a memory of some rock artist of the 60s placing a pic of herself and some guy in bed and her reading an awake magazine on the back cover.

  it could have been "is time running out for mankind" or something like that.

  anyone remember?

  Looking for quote re: gay rights 1973-1974 WT/Awake

  i remembered recently an article i read in a watchtower or awake!

  about 1973 or 1974. a woman gave her story of how she had rejected the fight for women's rights (it may have used the term women's lib or liberation) and became a jw.

  she lived in nyc and i actually met her briefly when i was at bethel.

  i'm getting my education degree this year and am working in a practicum placement in an elementary classroom (5th grade).

  it's a very practical way to see first-hand how teachers teach, discipline and help mold their students.

  one student is a jw.

  Bethel's Pipe Organ

  just an interesting tidbit as i was researching something online.. a pipe organ that was installed into the bethel kingdom hall in 1950 and was there until 1960:.

  for those interested in collecting the pdfs of the kingdom ministry for research purposes.. as is well known, the watchtower library cd-rom starts its coverage of kms in 1970. however, the kms from 1966 to 1969 show a bit more of the excitement relating to the prediction that 6,000 years of man's existence would run out in the year 1975.. the 1969 kingdom ministry (51 mb) can be downloaded here:.

  starting in 1918 and especially after 1920 the bible students (as jehovah's witnesses were then known) started emphasizing the year 1925. these predictions can be seen clearly in the book millions now living will never die.
