Just when I was going to use them against someone....
I see a JW has answered the 101 questions. So does anyone know if his answers have been refuted?

is there an official wts position on end-of-life issues?
all of my jw relatives have made it known that if they were in a terri-shiavo-like situation that they want to die.
they also have made it known that if their heart stops during an operation they are not to be revived.

They also have made it known that if their heart stops during an operation they are not to be revived. Is this common thought among JWs?? It seems rather weird to me that someone who claims to have such "respect for life" would just let themseleves die..... How is that being respectful of life? faerieprincess
i've lurked here for a long time but never posted till today.
i was raised jw till i quit as a teen.
most of my family are jws still.
Hi. I've lurked here for a long time but never posted till today. I was raised JW till I quit as a teen. Most of my family are JWs still. Being JW turned me off to religion for a long time, and the effects of being "different" from my non-JW friends as a child still bother me some. I don't really want to go into any more detail right now.... I have just 2 more things to say: Blondie, I have always enjoyed reading your posts, especially your "Things you will not hear...". And um.....theinfamousone...um I just wanted to say that I think you're cute (blushing...) Faerieprincess----who does not have an avatar yet because I can't get it to come up for some reason...
i'm new :) i was wondering if anyone here would have anything from the late 1980s to about mid 90s that says basically that a christian parent should use corporal punishment.
the quotes site didn't have much and i don't have many volumes from that time period.
i was raised jw and my father was quite punitive.
Hi! I'm new :) I was wondering if anyone here would have anything from the late 1980s to about mid 90s that says basically that a Christian parent should use corporal punishment. The quotes site didn't have much and I don't have many volumes from that time period. I was raised JW and my father was quite punitive. I've discussed with my mother how it was actually *not* Christian of him to parent the way he did, yet she keeps telling me to quit blaming religion for it (rolling my eyes). So I'm looking for info to back me up here that JWs DO advocate it. Thanks FaeriePrincess
