it's true, my grandparents(never jws) always tried to give me gifts around xmas, not on the exact day but say three days later, and i knew what it was and my parents would just say" its your own decision to accept them or not" HAHA who asks a 9 year old if they want gifts or not, of course i took em!

A thing that bothers me about JW and Christmas
by zagor inis that they dont celebrate it but are quite happy to accept gifts or money given by many companies at the end of a year as christmas gift.
in fact, ive heard all sorts of excuses ranging from well thats our money that weve earned over the year anyway to well we shouldnt really offend anyone
it looks like as long as you are receiving money or gifts its okay.

Home from Circuit Assembly
by RichieRich inas some of you knew, my circuit assembly was this weekend (dec 24 and 25).
the theme was "clothe yourselves with the new personality".
i guess the society has to reinforce the idea of humility, because apparently, you can't mislead haughty people.. from the sound of the accounts report, people are voting with their wallets.. nothing particularly egregrious was said.. luckily my mother had a fever this morning, so we got to leave at lunch.

Alone

my mother taught it to me since i was little, it always made sense to me and was something i wanted in my life.i hadn't made it a big part of my life, until two years ago when i started my own study.
i am getting older and would like to meet someone to be with who is a jehovahs witness, or someone like me who is working towards that.

Interview with God (Let's write one!)

it's time that he took center stage again and reminded people he's there.
unlike in the past though when he might have killed somebody, floated an axe head, or caused some sort of atmospheric anomaly, today he'd be much more likely to simply show up on the today show for an interview.. let us assume that's what happened.

Why do they let Children Get Baptized?

i was baptized when i was 11 years old and have been a witness for about 8 years now.
since i was 11 (yes, since 11) i've been reading the watchtower, doing the mics and all that stuff.

I was only 11 when i was baptized to and when i had the meeting with the elders to see if i was doing it for the right reasons, i said all the answers i was taught to say, not really understanding the meaning, but just saying something i had memorized, I remember the main reason i wanted to do it was because as long as i could rmbr i wanted a delux bible, you know the ones with the leather-ish cover with my name stamped on it, but OF COURSE i HAD to get baptized before i was allowed one...I got my delux bible the day i was baptized

my mom told me about this site im embarrassed to tell yahs who she is haha,kidding shes legolas, lets see i left the "truth" aka the lie in june, although we stopped going a year ago, i just want to see if i can learn more about the lies in the cult because my old best friend works with me but she is a jw and she acts like i dont exist, i want to tell her somthing thats a real shocker and maybe shell come to her senses, any ideas??!

I suggest, if you want to get under your co-worker's skin, give her a loud friendly greeting in the morning and evening, in front of your co-workers. I suggest phrases like,
