at the hall i used to go to started to notice certain men volunteering all the time to do talks and helping others with needs in the hall.
though there was nothing wrong with that i started to become suspicious because they were not like that previously.then some months later these men became elders and some became ministerial servants ,and guess what did they volunteer for talks as much maybe be as helpful as much well i will leave you to guess that.so the question is why such a change of heart after the promotion,what were they really after did they want to fit in or want authority over others.
Before my father became an elder here are some of the reasons he told me he wanted tobe one:-
You get to know things you wouldnt otherwise know
Thay cant talk about you or your family at an elders meeting without you knowing about it.
You get more respect.
You get invited out a lot more.
You have more power to influence decisions.
i have visited the jw and friends room a few times on paltalk,but usually i either get red dotted or booted for raising points they dont want raised,anyway yesterday i go in there under a different user name playing mr gun ho loyal witness,talking about how we should be loyal to the governing body,and dont want to get misled by the twisted lies of apostates and how we need to warn the world urgently to get into jehovahs organization or they will die at armaggedon,you know that sort of trash,very soon i get private text messages from jws that i should not talk like that as there were interested ones in the room i could stumble,who were not ready for such frank talk,anyway they hated this frank approach which showed them up to be a load of pawns in front of interested ones got suspicious and asked me to read todays day text,but of course i have no year book,hey is that proof of being a genuine jw nowdays knowing todays text!.
the point i am raising is this,the internet must be a wonderful tool for those who want to get their report brownie points up,i mean they can sit by the pc and mic and notch up hours and hours,even pioneer without going out of the house in the wind rain or snow.. is this the begining of cyber pioneer?

been doing a little reading on the "exclusive brethren" on the rick ross cult site.. here are some excerpts from an article written by an ex member:.

I think island woman is right Organizations can be usefull in getting things done,we dont want to get paranoid about all organizations,an organization is fine as long as the organization serves the needs of the members,not the members serve the needs of the organization,it seems a sad tendency that organizations founded with good intentions at some time cross this boundry and members become slaves of the system,the opposite of what should be.
i was just surfing and looked at the official jw site.
there was a picture of a nun on the front page and it said: is there a sound basis for your beliefs?

By directing it at everyone else and always looking outward no one inside seems to believe they could have the confidence to write it and have the cheek to do it themselves,it reminds me so much of Jesus illistration of the hypocrite so busy observing specs and splinters in the eyes of others that he doesnt notice his own rafter.
i'm working again now on my material for a book about mind control, would anyone like to give me any suggestions on material and / or issues that they would like to see addressed?.

You could touch on the fact that ming control contributing to religious fanaticism,although we may not be personally caught up in a cult etc,the affects of such still threaten the security of the free world profoundly.

thanks for calling this to my attention.
my reason for not wanting book material to be run on certain web sites is purely because of finding their approach out of harmony with my own principles and standards, so many are engaged in watch tower trashing and extremely negative.
some sites present material that promotes agnosticism and distrust of the scriptures, even atheism (one such site being in scandanavia).
Trashing the Watchtower? Well actually the books 'Crisis of Conscience' and 'In Search Of Christian Freedom' did that pretty well, I mean how much value did we see in the Watchtower after reading these books compared to before,instead of seeing the Watchtower as important information from God we just see it as the speculations and manipulations of men taking themselves too seriously,in other words,TRASH.
One thing about it though is the way in which the information is conveyed in the first place,in other words,'It aint what you do its the way that you do it'.I mean from the very introduction of Ray Franz books he seems to know the importance of conveying the info in a way that a JW mindset is least likley to just switch off,which is so important if you want to get the message through to deeply indocrinated messed up individuals,prehaps he would be more willing to give permission for his material to be used on sites that used the same gentle approach throughout,I mean that there is absolutely nothing wrong ind its completely comendable for an internet site that makes facts about the Watchtower available,but most of the peaple who linger would either be ex JWs or people on the way out anyway or people who have never been JWs or mayby in the very early stages of contact,which is good because after visiting these sites they probrably never will be so you have hit the JW recruitment,on the other hand those who are nervouse JWs who for one reason or other have taken the big step to start cheching the other side out could imediately,be scared right off if the info isnt presented in the gentler approach of the likes of Ray Franz,who did not right his books in the way he did by accident,he knew the mindsets he was dealing with for sure.

old habits die hard...and quite often in my comments i will refer to the borg as the 'truth'.
does anyone know of any other churches that refer to their own particular church or religion as the 'truth'??

Thr illustration of the wheat and the weeds has absolutely nothing to do with true and false religions,Remember that the weeds were intersown amongst the weeds,so it was an illustration pertaining to individuals not religious groups,if Jesus was reffering to groups then he would have given an illustration of a corner or part of the field with wheat alone.
