Well that's a real bummer. I am sure my sister-n-law and her African American boyfriend will really appreciate that. Maybe I should see about exchanging it.

I bought a cross.
by lostlantern ini will consider this my first act of spiritual freedom.
i bought myself a celtic cross, i will admit i picked one out that i hope isn't recognizable to my parents.
i know it is pathetic to be 31 and still afraid of what they think but i am not ready to lose them.

I know it is pathetic to be 31 and still afraid of what they think but I am not ready to lose them. I just feel inside that I need something to help me feel spiritual again, close to our savior. I only hope I can get away with wearing it, I plan on telling my family it is a Celtic knot. We'll see how it goes. Let me know what you think.

Were you ever ashamed of another JW?
by JH in.
in the field service, i was going door to door with an elder, and he couldn't stop spitting on the ground every now and then..... .
once at a ball park, i saw a 75 year old ms watching a ball game, and he took napkins to wipe his bench because it rained and it was wet, so he wipped his bench and threw all the napkins on the grass instead of walking to the garbage can about 30 feet away...

Lot's of times.
Once on the typical "McDonald's Break" one of the elders had a cold sore that was bleeding like a PIG. Absolutely disgusting, he just kept eating his mcmuffins, all the while bleeding all over his biscuit and napkin. He then piled his bloody napkins in front of me. I almost threw up. (By the way, why don't JW's disfellowship for gluttony? They should since they do for all other sins.)
Another time I was the new Pioneer "on the block", I was put in a car group with the oldest and most established pioneer sisters from the hall. When I went to the door one sister would step one stair below me as soon as the householder answered the door. After about the 10th time I was fed up, so when the householder answered the door I immediately stepped 2 steps below her, forcing her to talk. I was ashamed of her behavior for being so childish and lazy but it felt so good to see her face when she was finally face to face and to give here presentation.

Thank you!
I appreciate what everyone had to say. Your words struck a chord and it is good to know that I can talk to someone. Again thank you.

I Don't Watch Television!!!!!
by prophecor ini'm too cheap to pay for cable.
there's really not a lot of stuff to choose from that's worth watching for the price.
free tv sucks the most, reality shows and other mindless garbage that keep making its way to market.

I'm addicted to HGTV and Trading Spaces, I record so many of these shows on our DVR that my poor husband has to wade tons just to find "24". We never miss 24, he loves it.
