Wondering is great! Do you know how many people never wonder about anything? My advice, if you want to stay a JW is: sit down and shut up. Don't wonder about anything except how you are going to meet your quota in the field ministry and attend more meetings. Stop reading the Bible so much and just read the WT. Never question anything that any elder or the Society says or does. That will only get you in trouble. Pray to Jehovah to get those wicked wonderings out of your heart. Stop thnking about it. Get a hobby, but don't enjoy it too much. Try scrapbooking maybe. Something it's impossible to get too passionate about. But most of all, don't miss a meeting and go out in service more. That's about the extent of knowledge that you need to be a good JW. You do not need to know the Bible very well, or JW history. Definitely don't start studying WT history. That will get you nowhere, or somewhere fast. you should feel very guilty for having questions. Perhaps you are toying with apostasy or imorality? Throw out any music you may have that is questionable, throw out anything you may have bought at a garage sale or any used clothing and the like. throw out any rated R movies you may have, no, wait, throw out your PG13 movies as well just to be safe. you are likely under attack from the demons. Pray to Jehovah to get those demons out of your head and house. have the elders come over and go through your stuff and try to find out how you are letting Satan into your life. Then, go out in service. Quit your job, drop out of school and pioneer. Learn to live on very little money so you don't have to work too much. Whatever you do, keep going out in service. Oh, and definitely don't log on to this website anymore. Evil people lurk here just waiting for some little lamb like yourself to gobble up! If you do all this, then maybe, you might be spared at Armageddon... maybe. Don't you feel comforted now?

We Are Dying!
by WeAreDying-Ophelia inthis is my first post and might be my only post, not sure.
i've chosen to "come out" for a moment just to talk about the 30 minute change in the public talk on sundays.
my father and brother are both elders, this change was a blow to them they enjoy giving encouraging public talks to the friends.

Help needed.
by KW13 ini always try and put a happy face on things, i am a happy person in many ways - i have a wife i love and a son on the way who i cant wait to meet but all the time something is wrong.. i suffer from depression and from time to time it gets me down and when i say down i mean down, maybe it was because i was at a really impressionable age but i became a jehovahs witness i found so much comfort in being in a giant bubble - i only appreciated some of the positive aspects of being a witness after leaving.
i was told i'd not see the end of high school cos i'd be in a paradise, that i'd be a young boy leading animals etc and the simple fact is, the thought of death itself frightens me.. i find it hard to fit in the world properly, like a square where a circle should go.
i stick out really badly in most situations, people detect always there is something 'different about me' despite my best efforts to hide it.. my coping mechanisms make me angry, frustrated and tired at the best of times and i just want to complete stage 2 of escape this cult.

Happy is he who has found a good therapist. I wouldn't live without mine. Get one soon. You don't want to wait until you are thinking of suicide before you get proactive.

USA is Addicted to War
by frankiespeakin inthe us government has hundreds of miltary bases in other countries, military spending is where 50% of your tax dollars go, there are huge profits to be made by big business in this.
one thing that is needed is that human consciousness of the problem, (minus the propaganda indoctrination) needs to be raised to a higher level, i see signs of this happening, but as yet it is not enough yet to make the sweeping changes that are needed so that we don't wind up inihilating the whole human race, our consciousness has not keep up with our technology of weapon making, profits and self interest put us in the dangerous path leading to nonexistance:.

I'm sorry JeffT, but you are profoundly ignorant on this subject. Read "Addicted to War" published by Frank Dorrel.

"Jehovah ALWAYS has worked through ONE organization!"
by Dagney inhow many times have we heard this?.
i would like to know if any of you have any good arguements refuting this.
my brain is fried from two weeks of "fencing" with jw's.

Jehovah has actually worked through individuals mostly has he not? Moses, Adam, the Prophets, Jesus, Paul... the list goes on. He has also worked through "worldly rulers" , worldly people in general, women, children, animals, books, visions, dreams, spoken from the clouds, from a bush. At no time did any of his recipients ever register as a .org, or have any named organization, membership dues, doing business as and the like. The argument gets even stupider when they say, "If God is organized then he has an organization." Do I really need to respond to that? Someone else get that one. I haven't the stomach for it.

WT - 8/15/07 - We're making history
by Bonnie_Clyde inpage 26 - "those who will form the nucleus of the 'new earth,' a new earthly society of rightly disposed people are being gathered during these last days.
they are already nearly seven million strong, in at least 235 lands and in some 100,000 congregations.
these millions have been learning the righteous and just ways of jehovah, and as a result, worldwide they enjoy a unity that is cemented by christian love.

What JWs have is called uniformity, not unity. Unity can be had between Muslim and an Atheist. Unity has to do with an emotional connection and is experienced in an atmosphere of tolerance, no, acceptance. Families can be united even when the individual beliefs are totally dissonant. When uniformity is coersively laid on a people it pushes unity farther away and makes it impossible to acheive.

Even a card game I invented that requires a person to place the card on the left if it is true, with the goal of making them realize the the WTS is guilty of false prophecy, has not worked. Even after they place all the cards in the truth pile, they still refuse to admit that the WTS is anything but imperfect, not sinful. Even the most untrained witness can come up with excuses on the fly like a mother fucker. Tenacious they are in their denial.
