I think she will get heat for having an unbaptized boyfriend or husband. She can't be above reproach if she is involved with a worldly person. That is probably why she is "working "on him so hard. She wants to slear her name.

The most powerful thing about apostate literature is...
by slimboyfat in...that is drives a wedge between you and other witnesses as soon as you read it.
there is fear of discussing it openly, and even if you are wanting to try to argue against apostate ideas there is simply no outlet for such open discussions.
you are left guessing what other witnesses know, and how much apostate information they have been exposed too.

The Myth Of Evolution

Of course, evolution does not fit the definition of myth. You can say that it is wrong, a bad theory, but it is not a myth. Now, God may well be a myth, and that does fit the definition of myth - pure fantasy, made up from nothing, based on no evidence but a crazy notion that we can't have come from an accident or chance but an invisible man must have put us here that we've never spoken to or seen. That isn't to say that God does not exist, but it MAY BE A MYTH FOR ALL WE KNOW. I believe in the Santa Claus cult myself. We have an abundance of evidence that Sana Claus exists. Every year thousands of people report seeing and even talking to and sharing cookies and milk with Santa Claus. He has been seen in the skies by multiple disparate sources who verify seeing the same thing. No such reports for "God" though. Clearly the bulk of evidence is more for Santa Claus than for "God", which we can't even come up with a consistent definition for.
The best argument against evolution is the one above who said "evolution is stupid." This is exactly the type and quality of the criticisms that come from the religious right. I don't think that person really knows that much about evolution. It just seems like an absurd notion to them. But God is an absurd notion to me. Still I don't say that creation is stupid. If we had evidence of creation - direct evidence, then I might believe it. But to say that design requires a designer, well that's just an assuption. For all we know, what seems to be a design, may not be at all, and even if it is a design, there is no universal LAW, that has proven that a design requires a designer. It is just an assumption. -

If we didn't get it there, we would have gotten it somewhere else. I did plenty of speaking in school. Actually, the damage the WTS does in creating non-self critical beings is something that can not even be undone by secular education. Proof of this is that many Witnesses go to college and stay in the org. Only someone who totally misses the concept of critical thnking can stay a Witness after college. If I were a college professor, I would really drive critical thinking into any Witness i might have in my class, and not pass them until they are able to criticize EVERYTHING, including the WTS.

Great post, great article. I am a spiritual secular humanist myself. I don't believe there is such a thing as faith as defined by traditional Christian terms. I believe that spirit and nature are one. There is no "OTHER" realm that we have evidence of. People who claim to have gone there are quacks and nut jobs. There is but one realm, the ferequency of which may be expanded upon, but never does it equal a supernatural realm. It may be a higher frequency that we cannot fully read or see.

Our topic will be something new and refreshing: how we can attend more meetings, do more field service, study all of the publications from the WT and how our prayers should always acknowledge the Faithful and Discreet Slave, through whom we pray and their role as mediator between us and Christ and Jehovah. The whole event will be capped off with Sister Submissive's seminar on Scrapbooking so we don't do research that is too deep. See you there!
