  Are we being watched by the Watchtower?

  i've heard a few posts on this forum suggesting the wt society has its own 'secret' team of people who lurk on this site for information purposes but also to identify individuals who have left the org and become 'apostate' and are actively working/campaigning against the wt society.

  can anybody here verify this?

  is this actually happening?

  grateful to my Elders..No talks, no FS time, no privledges....no problem!

  so one year of lots of questions and showing doubts, and missing quite a few meetings but still going out in service, doing mics, reading, hall projects...then i get the new light from society regarding the letter i sent them (wow, stunned me, blew me away) and i let them know how i felt about it and i quit the ministry after 40 active years.

  nobody says anything about this, no counsel, no will you go out with us on saturday.

  not a single "were is your time for the month" phone call.

  i actually saved a classified ad from an east coast paper that needed experienced crew on a 48' sailing yacht.

  i was at this town for my 10th wedding anniversary and staying at a nice b&b.

  this was back in april.

  I think that is the saddest story I have ever heard. Yet it's so like my own. The devastation of being disfellowshipped is complete. This is one thing that makes JWs a cult. They strip you of every humsn dignity and leave you desolate, impotent. It is the great sadness of my life that will never, ever heal. It will be an aching in my heart untill the moment I pas on. And there is nothing I can do about it.

  what is the deal with this?

  it seems i hear more and more about some jw woman who is a massage therapist.

  i can't think of a more unseemly occupation for a jw woman that is legal.

  There's no such thing as a non-sexual massage as far as men are concerned. Spend any length of time in the massage profession and you are likely to encounter a massage boner!

  SURVEY: Who Believes In "God"?

  Define God. What is it? What it isn't. What does it look like, act like, feel like. You have to get concensus on this before you can even have a conversation on whether you believe in God because we all have different ideas of what God is. Two people believe in God, one believe that they are God themselves, another believe that God is an invisble superman with a beard AND CLOTHES according to the WT. The one who believes in Jah tells the one who believes they ARE God that they do not really believe in God at all.

  Do you believe in x?
  
  Sure, but I believe that x is really y, and not x at all. x doesn't exist, but y does, yet I believe in x, I just don't believe that x is x.
  
  I believe in God, but I believe that God is me, and God is you. God (invisible superman) does not exist, but God (me and you) exists.
  God=me and you, God does not=invisible mute superman.
  
  A=x=God=invisible mute superman=Jesus... believes in x
  B=y=x=you and me=God... yes, also believes in x, but believes totally different from A. B does not equal A.

  Wactower rags in employee restroom....

  i went into the employee rest room and saw wactower rags on the chair.

  i promptly ripped them into little pieces and threw them away!.

  i feel so good and i'm sure the person that left them will know it was me.

  I always destroy the mags when I see them. Here in Long Beach they are everywhere. They litter up the whole town.

  Some of these things, like false prophecies, are not really lying. they were wrong, it is true, and they are guilty of the sin of false prophesy, but that is a little different than outright lying. It's only dishonest if the WTS knowingly makes something up that they know to be not true, like denying that they ever curried favor with the Nazis. That they know darn well is a lie. but being wrong and changing their minds about it is not lying in my opinion.

  When they quote sources deliberately out of context, that is a lie. (I remember the excellent post on Harry Paloyan, where he said about one quote, "Well, it's in there isn't it?" This whole philosophy about quoting people, if you can rearrange the word order and construct a whole different sentence out of a person's words, then that is OK, it's not doing anything wrong because, after all, they actually said the words, just not in that order. This is a disgustingly dishonest approach to quoting sources. The WTS has no journalistic integrity.

  What is the HLC?

  many of us here had the pleasure of leaving the totalitarian control of the watchtower bible & tract society several decades ago, and we might have wondered exactly what the hlc (hospital liason committee) was.. here is an article from the awake!

  of november 22, 1990 explaining this further intrusion into the lives of watchtower adherents:.
