"Retard?" As a retard I take offence at the use of that term. We prefer the term "mindless blobs of flesh," to be politically correct.

It sounds like you want something that doesn't exist AND the effect you want to have on him (shutting him up I presume) you cannot control even if you wanted to.Let me explain: If you come up with a one liner that tells him "what you say doesn't count," then you really haven't achieved anything significant. first of all because saying "what you say doesn't count" is an ad hominem attack. I think you would be happier by discrediting what he SAYS, not him himself. It doesn't matter if he is qualified or not, what he says can still be true. All that being said, here's something that is full proof if you can get him to keep silent long enough. I suggest implementing the spoon technique where whoever is holding the spoon can talk, and everyone else has to listen. Also, no spoon hogging. If someone hogs the spoon, the other person can say "spoon hog!" and they have to give the spoon up.
The easiest way to proove that JWs are a false religion is to use Deut. 18:20-22.
First of all, read the scripture dozens of times over. Know that scripture and know the dictionary definitions of every single word in the two verses. then gather some quotes from the WT that deal with the 1925 prophecies and anything about Bethsarim.
Consult the book, "Spiritual food at the Proper Time' for quotes from the WT which is downloadable in its entirety on the web for free.
Then go over with the man exactly what it takes to be guilty of false prophecy according to Deut. 18:20-22. Establish that the KIND of prophesy spoken of in Deut. is specifically talking about PREDICTION (saying something is going to happen in the future.) Discuss the diffeence between (cuz this will come up whether you bring it up or not) simply making a prediction, and making a false prophesy, which is a sin deserving of death according to Deut.
Establish the criteria for making a false prophesy (easy as 1,2.)
1: Speak a word (a prediction about the future) in Gods name. (Establish here that saying that "the Bible says..." is the same as saying "God says" because the Bible is the word of God. Saying "God says" is speaking in Gods name, because it is saying that the idea or prediction comes from God or the Bible.
2: That word does not occur or come true. If any part of the prophesy does not come true, then that prophet has made a false prophesy and is by definition a false prophet. Make it clear to him that whether the prophet calls himself a prophet or not is irrelevant, it's whether the person is actually making predictions in Gods name that counts. He will try to say that the WTS has never called themselves a prophet. Actually, the WTS has called themselves a prophet (of one type or other) many, many times. but, again, it is necessary to make clear that it doesn't matter whether they claimed to be prophets of any kind or not. It's whether they committed the sin of false prophesy that counts. they don't have to admit their sin to be guilty of it.
The WTS tries to say that they were just "a bit too hasty." Make it clear once again that if they are guilty of false prophesy, it doesn't matter how they couch their sin or what they call it or themselves - how they spin it. If it fits the criteria above then they are guilty plain and simple.
Issues of the WT to use:
Millions Now Living Will Never Die, p. 89 (1925)
WT 9/1/22, p.262
WT 4/1/23, p.106
WT 1/1/25,p.3
WT 9/1/25, p.262
Hope this helps. I have developed this argument as a card game where the person goes through a series of cards with statements on it. If the statement is true, then it goes in the true pile. If it is false then it goes in the false pile. If all of the cards are put in the true pile, then the WTS is guilty of the sin of false prophecy. the last card should say "The WTS is guilty of the sin of false prophecy."
I hope this helps. It has never failed for me. -

According to a sister in my hall...
by B_Deserter inthe chinese government not only forces women who become pregnant with a 2nd child to have an abortion, they also make her eat the fetus after the procedure.. .
sometimes i wonder if i can keep putting up the facade, but comments like this just make the meetings worth while.

Homerovah, just because you see it on TV, doesn't mean it is true. You can'r argue that "we can't prove that the Chineese do not eat fetuses therefore they do." That is bad logic. Maybe you can provide us with the name of the program so we can check it out for ourselves. But one man saying he saw it on some vague TV program isn't enough evidence for the conscious thinker to believe it. For a claim that strange you must provide extraordinary evidence.

What do you think will be discussed at the Annual Meeting next week?
by truthseeker innext week is the annual meeting of the governing body.
what do you think they will talk about?
what is the business meeting about?

Oh, and also in attendance are board members who have at one time invested in the Society and are share holders of sorts. but there is not very many of these folks still around, and it is no longer possible to become a share holder in the Society. I would say there are 20 to 30 share holders that come to the annual meeting. they are dying out now, many of them are quite old. At the annual meeting the share holders vote on who gets to be president. The votes are always unanimous and they always vote to re-elect the same people each year. I have never seen any dissent in these votes. I'm not sure what would happen if these members were to become apostate. would they lose their shares in the WTS? I don't know, but I'm sure the WTS has devised a way to shut them up and get rid of them.

what makes a cult a cult?
by BlackSwan of Memphis ininspired by recent events here on jwd.
what makes a cult a cult and whose definition matters most?.
from a google search:.

There is a difference between the definition of the WORD cult, and what a cult is in practical terms - in reality. What are we talking about when we say cult. It seems, like any other subject, the two people communicating with one another have to come to terms on the subject before they can talk about it. Otherwise, each person will be imagining something different when they say "cult." I find Lifton's 8 criteria to be the best description of cult as it pertains to JWs and other similar groups.

mormhovaologists back romneyby tbrucegodfreysat sep 29, 2007 at 08:28:23 pm pdtin a stunning move, the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints, the watch tower bible and tract society of the jehovah's witnesses and the sea organization of the church of scientology have pooled their human, financial and field organizations into a new political action committee to get mitt romney elected president.. tbrucegodfrey's diary :: :: ap (clearwater, fl) - "today, we look forward to a new era for our church," announced church of scientology spokesperson catherine wilkens.
"through out strategic partnership with the watchtower and with our new partners in salt lake city, we are fully confident that we can get a man who truly reflects our forward-looking values and ambitions for a truly world-wide outreach to clear our planet of its ills.

Yup, that's pretty hard to believe. Although I'm glad someone brought up Romney. I am truly scared that this guy is as popular as he is. This makes me want to expand my activism to encorporate the Mormons too. As far as I'm concerned they are just as dangerous as JWs. How a Mormon got as far as he has I just don't know. But I definitely think we should hold his religion against him. I mean, can we really have a president who believes J. Smith found gold plates and translated them through the urim and thumim? I think everyone should watch the South Park episode on Mormons. The creators of South Park actually were Mormons at some point apparently.

6 Die From Brain-Eating Amoeba in Lakes
by Elsewhere inhttp://www.physorg.com/news110255496.html.
it sounds like science fiction but it's true: a killer amoeba living in lakes enters the body through the nose and attacks the brain where it feeds until you die.
even though encounters with the microscopic bug are extraordinarily rare, it's killed six boys and young men this year.

There's just so many ways to die. It makes me so thankful that I am alive for now.
