I know some lovely Pentecostals,but they do not go along with WOF.One of the people who helped me out of the WT was a Pentecostal,though I did not agree with everything I was told.

Copeland teaches some Jw stuff.I have these videos also have heard some of his talks.There are some excellent sites giving out info,much debate on the gifts. also abuses of the gifts.

Also Peters vision in Acts 10

They have tiger by the tail don't they.There is no denying the risks ivolved with taking blood my own Mother-in-law died from infected blood,But also look how many lives have been saved.

This is my understanding now re blood.

I have refused blood 3 times when a JW 2 for minor surgery one when my blood count went down to 5.

Leviticus 17 what did it mean to be 'cut off'?what was the penalty for taking blood?

15-16 "And every person who eats what died naturally or what was torn by beasts,whether he is a native of your own country or a stranger,he shall both wash his clothes and bathe in water,and be unclean until evening.Then he shall be clean.

16."But if he does not wash them or bathe his body,then he shall bear his guilt"

Acts 15 reading all of it,tells me there was conflict over circumcision

1 And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren "Unless you are circumcised according to the law of Moses you cannot be saved"

5.But some of the sect of the Pharisess who believed rose up,saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

seems to me that direction was given to converts to avoid giving offence to the Jews.

I asked an Elder who was also a Hospital Lliason Elder why it was that orthodox Jews have no problem having blood transfusions.His answer was "I don't know but they argue with God"............he could not give any satisfactory answers.

Acts 20-28 "therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock ,among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers to shephard the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Rev 1 5 and from Jesus Christ,the faithful witness the firstborn from the dead,and the ruler over the kings of the earth.To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.

Elders Closing In....an update

well an elder finally rang, and sure enough it was one particular elder i was close to when i was a dub; i still do have a lot of time for him personally as he is genuine.

all the same however, hes a company man and i am a great believer that the person who is going to betray (if at all) will often will be the one you least expect it from.

i think it was him predominantly because he/they thought his call could be disarming.. well, i spoke to him very briefly, and in that time he tried to get my address off me on several occasions - he tried to ascertain when it would be most convenient to call (to which i was non committal) but careful not to do anything which could put my relationship with my mother at jeopardy.

They are only men ,wielding influence and power over people's lives, window cleaners/grass cutters etc: Some Elders I loved they were really nice,others are on a power trip.JCs can be frightening for some,I have been on one .The Elderesses are busybodies .Some Elders discuss private things with wives.

2 Elders came to see me to discuss things.I loved both of them.One was 'nice loving' the other disciplinarian,their love is conditional,they will only love you if you obey the WT.

Elders I know Gary don't believe everything in the Watchtower ,it is a sort of 'social club' for some .

for me i found myself more involved politically and in community and business affairs.

not as cynical as i once was and not as judgemental as when i was a jw.

also more empathetic about people and finally able to see some beauty in the world.

I always said I came out of confusion and found more,life on the outside crazy but not half as crazy as life on the inside.

I had some years of inactivity years ago,so went on holidays ,socialised etc: but still 'mentally trapped'and 'what if it's all true'so I returned.

Having come from a very strict RC background ,then JWS, in between looking into other faiths,I guess I have wandered off down various paths.Yet all the while I believed in Jesus Christ.My fear dissapeared when I read Romans 8 .it was like a huge concrete block had been lifted from my shoulders.

it realy feels weird, but have closer friendships than in kh.

I am a Christian now,and have visited many churches,I have seen some who are gifted in many ways.I believe the gifts are still with us today.I also believe there are abuses of gifts. I do not speak in tongues but I know some Christians who do.mostly in private prayer.

I was raised a RC the only tongue I heard there was Latin,There are RC charasmatics who speak in tongues today.

I have to disagree as I see Tetra as very 'lost' at this moment,aside from religion.when he makes statements like ...Doesn't care about anything,burning the candle at both ends,marriage broken up,drugs,etc: trying to get the JW /Christian thing out of his life running away from every issue,going to ignore them for the rest of his life.His upbringing,being 'screwed up'

Tetra I am just trying to show you a way to get some peace in your life,to feel loved,to make some sense of your life,Not forcing you into yet another box,rules,control,..............but showing you freedom.

As I have said I have seen my sons/brothers and others go through similar experiences.The freedom you seem to want right now only brings pleasures,does not bring true happiness,never will.

One of my brothers is an alcoholic,has lived a life of doing whatever pleases him of not giving a f***We have picked him up from all sorts of places .once just laying in the gutter,He has gone through so many broken relationships .Then one evening he was visciously attacked and almost killed,Was hit on the head with a golf club and nearly died..............he had a near death experience.When we visited him in hospital he was like a child,so lost,so scared.He is 6ft 4 in,and as tough as they come ,not many would take him on.

Some time later he rang me and said "Tell me about all this God stuff"so I did what I could and he listened.He has not become a Christian yet neither has he stopped drinking,but at least now he is trying,so he drinks less,is now in a stable relationship and they have a child who he adores.He has also visited a church......now he is asking his own questions.....so is his partner.

Tetra when I say I can tell you many stories of people and their experiences well I can........not make believe but real.and from people from different backgrounds.

Jesus builds His church it is not about buildings/organisations but people........LOVE.Love for God and your neighbor.Jesus loves us.There is a better way.

We love you Tetra ,be assured you are in my prayers .

Hi Nate Merit,

The Hymn was sung in a Non RC Church. I thought it was lovely.

I was at a funeral for a young child who died tragically ...........

The other hymns were Jesus,Friend of little children.

Lord of all hopefulness,Lord of all joy.

Jesus loves me !this I know.

and also Footprints was read out......

TS sounded so 'down' just trying to help that's all.There are so many who have lost their way in life.because of the WT.but there is always hope and it is never too late to be saved.I thought Nicky's site would also have helped.
