I was probably one of the loneliest there, because after a handshake and a "Hi, how are you?" there was nothing left to say. I can't ever remember having a meaningful conversation either at the Kingdom Hall or in Service.
With you all the way on this one. I didnt share a common interest with anyone in the hall, they were tremendously boring and I had no idea what to say to any of them.
There was one particular clown that I didnt care for at all, he was one creepy SOB too. I was in the hall with this guy for about 15 years and noticed that he was always watching the latest group of 16-20 year old girls and taking special interest in them. He was probably close to 60 when I left, but was still working on being as creepy as possible.
I had more than one friend ask me to watch to see if he approached them and them come rescue them from him.
Years ago he really took this interest in this cute red headed girl and wouldnt leave her alone. Always asking her to come over and study with he and his wife and pretty much any other excuse to get her over to his place. During this time his wife, who had a been a blonde as long as I had known her, decided to dye her hair red too.. Except it didnt quite take and came out orange... Apparently she likes it though, because it was still orange when I left.
Ok that doesnt read as goofy as it struck me at the time, but hopefully you get the idea.
