  dear friends, .

  in today's edition of the lafayette, indiana journal and courier newpaper, my letter to the editor was printed in response to an article printed on tuesday, february 15, 2005 entitled "bloodless medicine.

  " the article gave the impression that jws have a total ban on blood transfusions.

  Would you buy this XJW coffee mug?

  because i have a sense of humor about the many failed prophecies of the jw's, i've always wanted some ex-jw merchandise with some class and humor to go with it.

  i've considered marketing a few of my ideas.....coffee mugs, shirts, etc.

  there are so many areas to go (no blood, no military service, college = devil's propaganda, etc.

  the 12/18/04 issue of the economist magazine has a cover story titled "the end of the world: a brief history of an enduring belief.

  " the article briefly discusses the history of apocalyptic beliefs from john darby's concept of rapture, william miller's failed prediction of christ's return on october 22nd, 1844, to the churchof seventh-day adventists.

  quote: they were not the only ones to rise above apparent setbacks to the prophesies by which they set such store: the jehovah's witnesses of the persistently apocalyptic watchtower sect survived no few than nine disconfirmations every few years between 1874 and 1975.

  My girlfr and I went to the Assembly Hall today

  5 years removed from being inside the indianapolis assembly hall of jehovah's witnesses, 4 years from attending a meeting at the kingdom hall, this morning my girlfriend and i walked into the assembly hall.

  we were taking an early morning walk in our jogging clothes in downtown indy.

  she asked if there was anywhere i'd like to go.

  i can't find it, and sure don't want to go to the kh to get it.

  (although i think i might order the jw cd-rom, so i'll have the info next time.

  2300 evenings and mornings...say WHAT??????

  does anyone really believe the jaydub fulfillment of the 2300 evenings and mornings from daniel 8:14?

  it's in the bookstudy book, and was mentioned in the january 15, 2001 watchtower.

  surely they don't really expect the flock to believe that a bible prophecy was fulfilled by a talk at a district convention.
