by Diogenes intwo elders are coming round to "shepherd" me next week.. i've been reading the article available by jon mitchell?
about rev:7 discussing the 1980 w.t which is full of lies about naos and hieron.. i'm going to bring this w.t up but i know the elders will mention the scriptures in psalms 37 and isaiah to prove that there is an earthly paradise.. is there a good logical way to refute these scriptures?.

I just think the 1980 w.t is a very powerful tool and shows very clearly that the society is twisting scriptures to fit their interpretations.
Maybe I'll just sit there and plead spiritual sickness...

Two elders are coming round to "shepherd" me next week.
I've been reading the article available by Jon Mitchell? about Rev:7 discussing the 1980 w.t which is full of lies about Naos and Hieron.
I'm going to bring this w.t up but I know the elders will mention the scriptures in Psalms 37 and Isaiah to prove that there is an earthly paradise.
Is there a good logical way to refute these scriptures?

Brand New Blood Card
by PoppyR inhubby has just come back from the service meeting where they have been handed out brand new style blood cards, now called 'advance decision to refuse specified medical treatment' .
it's quite a bit different.
and has the line on it about giving permission to the hospital liason committee to see your notes and medical records.. very scary stuff i think, and i certainly wont be filling one in.. i'm really short of time tonight, but will scan it in, along with the notes that go with it and try and post it some time over the next day or so if someone else doesn't beat me to it!.

I had my meeting Tuesday night and the thing that disturbed me the most was the fact that you need to photocopy your blood card and give copies to the people who witnessed your signature (elders no doubt!)
I was just going to sign and throw it away but now that seems rather difficult.

Pints of Strongbow!! Almost made me gag...We used to mix strongbow with Tennents Super (oddly the W.T seemed to make more sense on these occasions), the results on a 13 year old were pretty severe!

" has another dig at higher education.. paragraph 7.
"anyone who does not trust firmly in jehovah might think differently.the majority of humans view material wealth as a major key to security.hence, parents have encouraged their offspring to invest much of their young adulthood in higher education, hoping that it will prepare them for well-paying careers.sadly some christian families have found the cost of such an investment to be very high, as their children have lost spiritual focus and turned to pursuing materialistic goals".
