  Well,lot's of stuff to cry to.....I don't even know where to start.

  But as for feel good music,the ultimate is Jimmy Buffett.It's almost always good for a smile.

  were you ashamed of being a witness?.

  how did you feel about identifing yourself as a jehovahs witness to others?.

  i often used to hide it because of the stigma attacthed to it.. was anyone actually proud to be one?

  Oh yeah,ashamed,humiliated even.I was also the only JW in my whole school.Up to about the eigth grade,every day was sheer misery....I've had migraines from from age 5.However,in junior high I finally started participating in other activities,and learned to lead the double life,I guess.I actually enjoyed school after that.When I went to college,I quit identifying myself as a JW,even though I was still attending meetings for a year or so...

  I swore way back then that I would never ever subject a child to that.

  Been here a year...(ramblings)

  yep,one year ago tonight i first posted here.i had lurked for a few weeks,never intending to post,but a particular thread hit so close to home for me,that i felt like i had to voice my opinion.of course,i was promptly slammed as being a troll,but i was stubborn enough to hang around.here i am still hanging,a whole year later.

  i've maybe learned more in this past year than in the ten before it all put together.i've learned a whole lot about myself-about who i am,and why.i've learned about the organization that shaped my life and my family.originally i was shocked by alot of what i read here,and wasn't sure whether or not to believe it all.but looking back,knowing what i do now explains an awful lot of things.

  i've learned lot's about people,too.like many who were raised jw,i led a very sheltered childhood(even more so living in the country,going to a small school).i'm still not sure if this is a real cross section of life,but i think it's pretty close.i'm happy to say that i've made lot's of friends here,some very good ones.though i've had my share of disagreements,i don't consider anyone here an enemy.

  Who's seen their favorite bands in concert?

  come on i know noone can resist seeing their favorite bands in concert.

  don't hold against me but i plan on seeing the bsb boys in march...can't help it i go for those love songs :) so come on tell me which concerts you've been to.

  ZZ Top/George Thorogood-great show

  Chris LeDoux-excellent show

  Clay Walker-the best,this guy sang forever,and he can sing and play anything

  Hank Williams,Jr-more times than I can count,always a great show

  George Strait-also more times than I can count,a great singer with alot of great songs,but nothin' fancy....try to see him somewhere you can dance

  Dwight Yoakam-another great show

  Waylon Jennings,Willie Nelson and David Alan Coe-these guys aren't legends for nothing

  Saw Reba McEntire,Garth Brooks and Toby Keith many times back before they made it big.

  Journey/Bryan Adams-my first rock concert,I remember it fondly,if somewhat vaguely...

  There were several others,but these have been favorites.
