How embarassing...
by wombat inimagine starting a topic and hardly anyone replies.
and you have to keep bumping yourself to the top because of either your ego or passion for the topic.. unc did a number on this a couple of days ago but it was too subtle.
(unlike him).. i have no passion for this topic.

Has the Jan 15 Watchtower worked?
by wombat ini regret the absence of wts apolgists in recent months.
they kept this board alive with their ridiculous statements.
but now it seems that they have all gone away.. assuredly they are all still lurking here (hello) to see what we are talking about but they can no longer claim their time posting here as field work.

Boring
by wombat in.
i love this site but, for an australian, it's pretty boring until the yanks wake up..not knocking you poms...i just replied to clam who always keeps things going.. so by the time that our american friends get out of bed i am out of it and miss out on the fun.. because i have nothing intelligent to say, i will make the following pointless comments.. "give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.......teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat with a bunch of mates and drink beer and tell lies all day".. "necessity is the mother of strange bed-fellows".

Newly Annointed - Any stories ?
by wombat inhey....anyone got any interesting stories about someone who woke up one morning with the sudden knowledge that they were one of the annointed ?.
i recall an elderly sister who was a sandwich short in the lunch box who insisted on partaking at the memorial.
it really pissed everyone off but no-one could say a word, of course.. wombat

Saint Gerald the Good
by wombat inhttp://www.ku.edu/kansas/medieval/108/lectures/gerald.html
if you want a good laugh, a good plot for a movie that's never been done or some inspiration on how to live your life....check out st gerald the good.. gerald dates back to the year 1000. the dark ages, so called because so little was recorded about it.. this bloke was a loser but forced to become king.
he would rather have stayed in the monastry with his mates.

and the big sweetener was the exchange rate.
prospective workers owned homes worth about (pounds)160,000 to 190,000, or about $450,000.

Are you paranoid about posting?
by wombat inpoor jwfacts got sprung when the jw trawlers were able to join the dots.. no, that's wrong - they knew it was him but it took something else for them to be able to prove it.. i am not game to post a bio about myself.
my jw siblings are very litigious.
one even sued another jw for libel.
