  .............that jehovah's witness aren't required to wear uniforms, adults and children.

  i mean, it would certainly settle the issue of who's in and who's out, because whoever wasn't attending meetings couldn't pick up their next clean uniform.

  also, they would be totally visible out in public and you would always be "safe", if you associated or spoke to one who was properly uniformed.

  uh yeah, read that in another thread...

  No, the uniform is a cheap suit and bookbag if you are a guy and an ugly, heel hugging, neck choking, puffy sleeve dress if you are a girl.

  Yeah SYN, I was thinking along the same lines. I mean why is it limited to human terms and concepts like "location"? It just all seems so unreasonable when you consider an omnicient God throwing satan out, I mean what, its there really a set of pearly gates there with a satan proof padlock? It just doesn't make sense to me.

  this was reported on the news last night.. how a loving, friendly person like this could be dead and ted jaracz and his cronies can live into their nineties..... people of every race and religion were saddened to hear of his passing.

  when the reporter interviewed people in the vicinity, they were shocked and many near tears.. well, let's just say: it's not the best argument to prove there is a god.. lisa

  Lisa, being a witness is a state of mind. So when it comes to 1975 these people are soo fooled that they can really believe that it was their fault if the organization tells them so. They have been made to believe in their heart and many of them do, that the organization is basically god's mouthpiece. That the organization is infallable.

  The best article I read on the Org was the one equating it with Orwell's 1984, the parallels are frightening! That is why I truly believe that the organization is evil. It literally enslaves and controlls people's minds, all in the name of God.

  I don't blame my mother, she was young, had sort of no real beliefs about God and had just had a baby boy. She was a prime target. She did what she thought would save my life. I can't regret it, these things have already happened to me, why cry over spilt milk? I am just grateful that I am out at this point in my life and not later in life.

  I've moved on.

  ok, this is going to get a little deep here but bear with me.. all of my reasoning here is going to based on the following assumptions/beliefs.

  AHH! Chaos theory! I think my brain just exploded!

  Really though why must we constrain ourselves to the notion that if there is a God that he necessarily has to be omnicient? Cant he (or she) just be a more powerful being who is capable of creating Humans, but he knows as much about the future as we do?

  Anyway, for me, the meaning of life is simply to get the most enjoyment possible out of it. I know I am given a short time here and I just want to make sure that short time is fulfilling.
