  I definitely agree. And wrong. But still as to whether any actual "damage" was done to the boy in this case. Maybe kind of a gray area.

  Hypocrytical Elders and their families. A general lack of love. A feeling that people TRULY were not thinking for themselves and would just accept anything they were told. I did this without the benefit of any "apostate" material. Two years after I was out I finally brought myself to reading some info on the witnesses and that pretty much just confirmed the feelings I already had.

  I really reccomend that you read the police report before jumping to conclusions on whether this was coerced or whether she used a position of power.

  The thing is, besides the fact that Ken does seem to rack up a little more than the usual amount that a winner on Jeopardy makes, Jeopardy isn't really paying out mush more than they would usually. If you think about it, somebody HAS to win every show, so instead of paying many people, they are just paying this one guy.

  This has to be good for ratings by the way...

  the more time that passes, the less i even think about it.

  i dont really believe in it but now and again i get a nagging fear of "what if we're all wrong and it is true" and boom big lighting rods and earthquakes come and shatter us all and i think damn and i almost beat jah on this one .

  its so silly i know im right about my decison to leave the dubs but they psychologicaly messed with us for so long sometimes your like woah what if theyre right!.

  What most humans have come to accept about God through religion is in my opinion, wholly a creation of man in order to keep other men in subjection.

  And sometimes this isn't necessarily all bad. God has been used to provide a sort of "divine authority" for moral codes passed down since the dawn of civilization. Morality is one of the foundation stones of civilization. The problem is that this concept has led to tyranny of the few over the many throughout history. I believe that religion is useful in providing a sort of "moral compass" for a society, but the danger lies in mixing religion with governments. When this happens it is unavoidable that what is essentially just the moral judgements of other men will be forced upon the people.

  Of course this doesn't mean that religion must be completely removed from all dealings with government, but perhaps when they are mixed, the question we should ask is what can religion do FOR our society and not TO it.

  For me, I don't think it has to do with religion or "souls" or anything so existential. I just believe anything that has developed human features, a beating heart and a brain is human life and should be protected as such.
