the "metallica" of trance music besides Alice Deejay.
The Metallica of trance? SO by that you mean the crappy, full of itself, so over by '92 hair band of trance?
ok...i went to the edge about my music selection...and i'm trying to change it not because an elder or brother is telling me..but because i'm trying to get away from the "aggressive" "anger" sounding music such as rock...metal and all that junk...this is a personal decision and i am not a jw anymore from those that can remember...but my question to all the freaks geeks and streakers out there...i'm starting to get into alice deejay music...trance...does anyone else know of any good trance artists?

remember, you had the truth!
everybody else didn't even have a clue!
the worldly people never understood our spiritual paradise.
Yes I was so freakin' cool as a JW. Like I was part of God's mafia or something.
This calls for a repost...

i was going through an old file folder a few days ago and came across this letter i wrote to our old congregation regarding renovations that had been proposed.
at the time, i was very upset with the way the proposals were steam-rollered through (i think the sentiment comes across nicely in my letter lol).
has anything like this ever happened elsewhere??
Yeah really, one of those meddling sisters gotta get all up in the elder's business! Can't you be quiet and submissive like a good christian woman?
we've been having a bit of fun with our speculations about what ruth is really like, from clues drawn from the watchtower she (or someone) left in a train.
i had a look at the watchtower itself and have been rather amused by its overall cheesiness.
or to quote groucho marx:.
Hey Runningman, I already pointed that out, check the first page.
i will be taking a short hiatus, away from jwdc, until late september, as i am busy making arrangements for my move across the country on the 15th, while juggling an almost impossible 70 hour workweek (lately).
in the meantime, have fun, yell at eachother, makeup, kiss and hug, or stab eachother in the eyeballs or the crotch.
bye for now mates!
Why no chat Chevys? Too hooked?
Bad Seed, I didn't know you too well, but anytime a poster has to leave here its sad. Good luck to you and hope to see you again!

That WT cover is of course Franz' Angels:
While submissive to their construction worker mates, by day they kick ass...
Well "spiritually speaking" of course
All working under the direction of the mysterious "Freddie" who directs them by answering every question with a question
this post had a purpose when I started...
for decades i heard people say "if i was an elder,i would change this or i wouldn't allow that.brothers and sisters alike would always try to get the ear of an elder so as to enact a particular cause.everybody has their own pet peeves in a congregation.
knowing what you know now, if as an elder you could make a major change in the congregation or organization, what difference would you make?.....this is hypothetical so it can be answered by male or female.
I would promise to fix the air conditioning, put soda in the water fountains and free mints for everyone!
aww what the heck, I'd become power mad and disfellowship people for sneezing during TMS talk #4

i've been enjoying scanning bits and pieces of ruth's old 'tower magazines.
many of us will have old copies of the literature lying around, so why not scan something that's particularly meaningful to you?
here's my offering to start the ball rolling.
No son, you're beating the old man wrong...
hold it like THIS and STRIKE!
Kids just like his mother.....
i had a conversation with an active witness from the usa lately.
and when talking about child upbringing he stated that some children need a spank sometimes.
of course i was upset because of that, and i didn't thought witnesses was that stupid.
Are those who choose to spank their kids terrible people?
I don't have children so I am not in a position to say whether I think it is right or wrong, but do some of you consider any amount of spanking to be abuse? I know I was spanked when I was a child, but my mother always had a saying: "The first slap is for the child, the second is for the parent" SO when she spanked us it would be one slap, usually on the leg with a plastic cooking spoon and then sent to our room or to the corner for a time out.
I don't believe my mother abused me by spanking but I have seen other children who were actually beat by their parents for punishment and I considered that abuse. What I am trying to say is that I think there is a line that can be drawn between a justified spanking as punishment and physical abuse.
i just wanted to say hello and that i think it's nice to find a place where i can express myself if/when i need/want to, although i feel pretty timid about posting.
Welcome Nilfun!
Don't worry about being timid, you might start out replying to a post or two here and there. Once you get to know people it becomes easier. I've also found that going into chat when there are a couple of people there helps you to get to know people better and then you feel more comfortable talking and expressing your opinion.
Look forward to hearing more from you.
