As a child, yes I did. Now, I file it somewhere in between Mother Goose and Aesop's.

From the police report on the smoking gun it seemed consensual.
NOW, don't be coming down hard on me because I point this out, it is merely what it appears to be. It doesn't make it right. But being a 14 year old boy once, I can't say that such an experience would have been unwelcome.

Why do people lie.
by ball. ini am witnessing several friends break up at the moment and one of my best mate's wife has constantly denied being in an afair despite be-friending a 21 year old guy who saw more of her than he did, and numerous suspicious txt messages and so on and so on.
anyway, to cut a long story short, he moved in here with me and has just spent three weeks going insane, un-able to sleep, brain over-active, and if he wasn't such a sane chap, almost going paranoid.. well, some of you know i'm a bit of a geek, so we wired up his home pcs web cam and ran a citrix session with remote control and a web cam recorder with ftp to download the files, and i waited tonight while he watched the result.
bingo.

Former Bethelite comes out and shares story
by Dogpatch ini was always a shy kid that desperately wanted to make my parents proud.
at about this same time i started to hang out with some guys that my dad didn?t particularly approve of.
i wonder how my life would have turned out had i stopped at any point between ages 14 and 19 and asked myself who exactly i was doing all this for.

Well Michael, I have to respect your decision. A lot of us have faced varying degrees of what you have experienced. Know that your family still loves you, they demonstrate that by doing what they think is right. Unfortunately their love must be filtered through their WatchTower beliefs.
It is because of people like you that I hope for the organization to collapse someday. Nobody should have to go through this with their family simply because of a difference in beliefs. This is the most evil and hurtful aspect of their idiology, their forceful breaking of families in order to coerce compliance and obedience. As you can see, their mind grip is so strong that even the so called "weak ones" and disfellowshipped among them shun you as being evil.
I wish you well and hope that someday your family opens up, it has happened to others before. Just remember that you still have many friends here who have been through some of the same experiences and will not judge you on your beliefs (despite the political battles you may see raging off and on ) Welcome!

A BLOOD QUESTION
by Mary inok, i'd like your viewpoint on this.
i might be going in for surgery and of course with any surgery there's a chance that you might need a blood transfusion.
for obvious reasons, i think it would be better if i stored my own blood beforehand in case it was needed.

Like with anything WTS related, you have to parse this carefully. What they say is that you may store your own blood for fractional use, not for whole blood use. For example, the WTS now allows its adherents to accept certain "fractions" of blood, thaey can utilize their own stored blood for these fractions only and cannot retransfuse the whole blood.

Favorite Coffee
by Satanus inmy favorite coffee is starbucks house blend decaf and starbucks columbian.
i mix those two together equally, and make it really strong, like expresso.
i boil one large cup of water, dump in 4 heaping teaspoons of expresso grind, then pour it through a strainer.

"We will follow them to the US"-is this guy as moron?
by IronGland in"the insurgents' aspirations are growing.
abdullah, a midlevel leader of kata'ib, says he's happy u.s. troops are staying in iraq: it means he can be part of the jihad.
asked what the jihadists will do if u.s. forces finally pull out, one of abdullah's comrades offers this answer: "we will follow them to the u.s." .
