My JW brother and sister in law came over for dinner last week. We have tried to not get on any bible subjects so there is no problem. Pretty much impossible for JW's not much else going on. Anyway, my sister inlaw said the Trinity was derived from Nimrod. I said I don't remember that, I don't think I ever heard that. Of course it then escalated to the usual arguement about the JW nonsence on eevrything in life being pagan, then I noticed neither was wearing their wedding rings. I started to laugh and said Oh no don't tell me you are not wearing them because the bull$hit Society told you not to and of course like good Jehovah Witlesses they lied!! So I told her I would research about Nimrod. Now really I did remember I knew it was from the idiot book by Hislop, Two Babylons. So I decided to check out the Jehovah Witlesss website and low and behold there is no info on Nimrod on the site!! Does anyone else have the info from a Watchtower when they said that? Has anyone heard to stop wearing wedding rings?

yes - pretty soon i'm sure they'll be telling you how to trim your toenails.

i'm surprised that they still allow dancing at weddings actually, since we know that dancing was so paganistic and led to wild, animalistic sex.

I tried not to say much(but of course I had to) and tried to just listen. Then I said I think everyone can deal with God in the manner they feel comfortable. I then said the people I feel reflect Jesus postition are the Amish. After the tragedy they have gone through and there true forgiveness they are pretty remarkable. So he did what he usually does and said I'm tired so I talk to you later. Anyway I looked at the scaned tract on Danny's post just to see what it looked like, and realized they really don't use JEHOVAH on the tract!! Is that strange to anyone else?

anyway i go to a church where there is another ex-jw who stays in contact with a few other ex-jw's.

he asked me if i would like to get together with a family i knew growing up out on long island.

He asked me if I would like to get together with a family I knew growing up out on Long Island. I said I'd love to, I am so excited to reminece about old times when I was a little kid. It will be my first get together with anyone from my past who left the "TRUTH"!!!!(LOL)

son selling magazines

hi everyone, haven't posted in a very long time.

some may remember my post about my brother-in-law with cancer.

he passed away at 52 on labor day, so sad for my husband.

Hi everyone, haven't posted in a very long time. Some may remember my post about my brother-in-law with cancer. He passed away at 52 on Labor Day, so sad for my husband.

Anyway I thought only the people here could understand this and shake their heads.

My 11 yr old son is selling magazine for school drive. We usually just buy them ourself, but he really, really wanted to try and sell them to people on his own. He took my phone book and called all our family. Everyone said sure I need a new subscription or what have you, EXCEPT my JW brother. He says to my son no thanks , but I have some magazines for you and laughs! My son just looked so dejected. Meanwhile, he proceeds to tell me he and his wife and another couple are on there way upstate NY to help out where the need is great for the week. Yea right take off from work, go free load off some witlesses, but don't buy a $12.00 subscription from your nephew.

My top 10 listof what surprised about life out of the Org.

10. Jw's are the most negative people on earth.

9. Nobody's trying to persecute JW's.

8. Smurfs are not demonized, nor is anything else.

7. The hypocrisy of the Watchtower is Bigger than I ever imagined.

6. Apostates are really COOL and very very SMART.

5. Many religious people know more about the bible than JW"S.

4. JW's really don't care if you leave, but their jealous so they try to screw you.

3. Life is just so GOOD.
