Finally going to the Dr...........

as some of you know about my aneurysm(leg area) last year - well after much persuasion and basically getting my arse thrown into a vehicle i am going for my check up.

i was supposed to go in jan(oops).

undergoing 3 surgeries and being told i am going to die left and right scared me of going back.

this was such a sad exhange and just shows how unnatural this bogus rule by the wbts is.. i see my moms name on the caller id and i immediately pick up.

(keep in mind we live 2 blocks apart).

my mom says julia?, and i say no mom its me, you must have dialed the wrong number.. mom: oh, i'm sorry, how are you?

I cried, and was angry all over again reading your post. Yet I guess your mum had a nice conversation with you, didn't hang up on you, or say anything nasty...........so maybe she's coming round.

I don't get it

i need some help in understanding something that's been bothering me for a while, please give me some insight on this.

i often see posts here where some take shots at elders and witnesses for working as janitors and window washers, and it's always bothered me.

i mean does it really matter what they do for a living as long as they are making a living honestly?

I would never make fun of peoples occupations. Some of my dear family have a window/cleaning business.

But I can understand the stereotypes, the encouragement to abandon further education ideals can cause resentment for many people.

it may seem incomprehensible how the witnesses could ignore the implications of each disconfirmation.

I understand what you are saying, I had been away from the org for many years but still deep down felt that there was elements of truth in it.

Then I found this site, read some incredible information, devoured Crisis of Confidence, which is a book everyone should read, and I know I made the right decision to leave all those years ago.
