How long did it take for the fog to lift?
by Honesty ini was inactive for almost 2 years, not attending meetings or reading any watchtower publications before i felt the fog start to lift from my mind and i could truly think.
how long did it take for you?

Nearly 9 years and then I stumbled on JWD last October. It lifted somewhat when I told my psych. outpatients group that I'd spent all these years in a cult and I didn't minimise it or make excuses or feel ashamed.

Sorry AudeSapere and ferret, I should elaborate. Osgood was a famous English soccer player from the 1970's. He was loved by the Chelsea fans for his delicate ballwork and goalscoring.

I am hurt, my wife had a miscarriage and still my family didn't contact me
by jwfacts intwo weeks ago my wife had a miscarriage at 11 weeks.
it is very sad as it was to be my first child and my wife is already 39. what hurt the most though is that none of my immediate family contacted me.

I am so sad for you both. Nothing will replace THIS baby. This baby is unique and precious. Thinking of having other children is probably not even an issue right now.
Men, in my opinion, need equal care after this kind of loss.So much is out of your practical control that you just ache not being able to 'protect' your wife.
I can't believe the callousness of these animals!
So sorry again
