  my cat died today... i need consoling...

  this is the guy that sat on my razor blades the one time i was thinking of cutting myself... this is the guy that everytime my dad beat me, would come to my room and lay with me... this is the guy that one time jumped into the bathtub with me while i was crying after a brutal beating, the cat hated water... this is a cat that was more family to me than my own father and mother combined... this was my best friend... .

  today i had to do the hardest thing i ever did, i had to choose to have him put down... and as he fought the vet, and tried to bite her, i put my hand on his head, and he stopped struggling... and as they put the last needle into his leg, he purred until he died... the vet says she has never seen that before... this was my best friend and i had to kill him... fuck, im a baby, but i miss him soooo much.

  I too develop deep relationships with my cats. I've wept over them like a dead child. (and I've had one of them too).
  My fabulous ginger fur-beast with one eye died of cat 'aids' about two years ago, on my bed while I was quite ill. I buried him that morning under the big Gum with my old blue jumper and a photograph of the family. I still miss him waiting in the drive for me after work.
  I was NEVER going to have another cat, but Mr Pogue has come along and he's now completely in charge.
  Cats don't have owners, they have staff.
  Infamousone I think men who love cats often have qualities that endear them to other people. (Dr. Evil excepted)

  Suggestions for "The Internet" defense ... roadblock?

  wanderer reminded me of an answer that i frequently get when confronting dubs with information obtained through the internet.

  even if it's a scan of a wts publication, the typical dub seems to be well schooled in refusing to give any credibilty to anything that comes from a website other than watchtower.org.

  has anyone had any luck finding more "credible" sources for info?

  I had a visit from my Dub 'supplier' about 3 weeks ago, (nice chap but not terribly bright) and I sat him down with a coffee and went straight to the UN NGO site and printed off a copy of the correspondence and asked what he knew about this scandal.
  
  He said it was just some apostates trying to make trouble. I asked him why the UN would go to the trouble of making a statement incriminating the Watchtower just to please a bunch of apostates? His reply? It's not true, why not write to the branch office and see what they say?!
  
  So unbeliever is right, you can't use reason with somebody who wont think.

  add to this that wars have been fewer and less deadly over the last hundred years despite the WT's glib claims. I think they've got the message about earthquakes being no more common than they ever were though. I don't see rash claims for that anymore.

  Went to doc, doc said JW religion oppressive

  yesterday i went to the doctor....tired, weight gain, checkup, etc etc.

  this is a new doc so i had to fill out all the forms, family history, where i was born, jobs i have had, underwear size etc etc.

  as i was filling out the form, family history, father.....illnesses, deceased.

  We have something in common here Paul and I have a good idea about how you feel about getting older.
  
  As a 17 year old I had a grand opportunity to have a trial with Arsenal, (In the early '80's when there were scouts roaming around NZ). Three weeks before I was due to fly out I tore ligaments off my right ankle and that was it! In a state of hobbling and depression I got sucked into my mothers religion,(JW), gave up the hope of ever playing again and tried hard to be a good dub.
  
  At 35 I stopped sulking and started playing competitively again and my weak ankle felt o.k. Now at nearly 44 I'm still playing and have made the Golden Oldies rep team for a third year.
  
  You can still be a class player over here at 30 so come visit maybe!!

  i have been on and off this forum for 4 1/2 years.

  its a nice place to vist ---------------but i can't live here.. i think i have made peace with my 52 years as a "watchtower slave" and as chris said in the movie "platoon"--------"but it will always be with me in my heart and my mine"----------------and as he said also "we now have a duty to help others, so maybe they will not have to experience the waste years as we have".. so let us be patient with all who visit here.----------- because i think of myself, many years ago, at 21 years old, the self rightious nazis jw.

  who if i met today, would have no problem pouring gas on me and setting me on fire!-----------most people need time to figure this all out------it took me 52 years -----------yes thats right "the dub"ist person on the board.----------everything happens at the right time.
