  my cat had this on the sidewalk playing with it!

  he bit the tip of his tail off but my son and i were able to rescue him and turned him loose at our pond.

  he seemed fine.... swalker.

  Welcome. Boy I've walked a mile or two in your shoes. Depression is selfish!!!!!Pray more etc. The mindless, unfeeling counsel is universal.
  
  You can't undo years of indoctrination and internalisation in any less time than it took to learn it I fear.
  
  "I believed the generation that saw 1914 occur would not pass away before the End would come."- Do you know, there are vast numbers of Witnesses today who are oblivious to the fact that only very recently this was a core message of our door to door work!

  special talk 15.3.07 - what is official position on earthquakes?

  there is a lot of 1914, how jw's (then known as bible studends) anticipated it was a marked year.

  ever since things are going bad, wars, wars and wars, food shortages, pestilences and earthquakes.

  here the speaker mentions that earthquakes have increased tremendously since 1914. oh oh oh where did he get it?

  This fact was one of the first things I researched independently when I came to JWD.
  I will try and find the authority that showed that the prevelance and strength of earthquakes has remained much the same forever.
  
  The WT has definitely become less dogmatic on earthquakes over the last 10 years.

  Thoughtful comments from a great comedian. Cosby had a confusing upbringing too. For the first part of his life he thought he was Jesus Christ! :)(joke for the over 40's)

  the jw's knocked on my friends' door while he was cleaning his bird cage.

  the jw's said "we'd like to give you something" and handed him a copy of the latest wt.

  he said, "great, that's just what i need, thanks" and placed it in the bottom of the birdcage then slammed the door in the jw's faces.

  Why do dubs act as if 1975 wasn't failed prophesy or misleading?

  from the evidence i have found, it was all but etched in stone.

  so why try and defend the wts by saying "they never stated armageddon would be in 1975", as one witness tried to throw back at me.. seems that you could show them all the evidence in the world of this false organization, and it will repel right off them.

  is there some sort of "force field" kool-aid they're serving at the halls?.

  The energy vampires

  the quality of out relationships affects our emotional wellbeing.

  when we are with some people they make us feel at ease and give us a lot of energy while others are like energy vampires and suck the life out of us leaving us feeling drained.

  these energy vampires as they are known can wreak a lot of carnage.

  The friends and visitors that take control of your home and kitchen when they visit.
  
  We have a neighbour who comes over from time to time. Struggles financially, emotionally. Regular failed relationships, pregnancy etc. etc. but knows EXACTLY how to save the world and put people straight if only they would do what she says!
  
  She only knows it's time to leave when I start slashing my wrists.

  i went to the coffee shop this morning to get my double shot.

  so i'm sitting there and flipping through the morning's newspaper, then it hit me that i can't focus on reading because my brain was subconsciously picking some noise, a repeating sound of something.

  yup you've guessed it right.

  Me never, but I've got a whole bunch of teenagers and only the girls use 'like'. Same with their friends, it seems to be just the girls. 50% of our sitcoms are from the US so I guess that's where the influence comes from.
