I always cry at that bit when Forrest Gump is talking to his Jenny in the grave. ....and when the cat/guinea pig/rabbit/mouse dies. I guess I am big girlie man.

Jehovah allowed 140,000 dead in Burma will they understand it was needed??
by Witness 007 inyes the tsunami killed 250,000 and now afew years later approx.
140,000 dead in burma....will people understand that this was all needed to prove we needed jehovah's rule in our lives?
he allowed this to prove a point.....not to mention the ethnic cleansing in burma which killed just as many.

Of course they'll understand this! When they see how a dozen Witnesses can chop up a fallen tree and replace the roof on a Kingdom Hall while the Burmese army look on in awe, they will have to know this is the true religion.

.producing a YPA 2 book isn't going to cut it. To me, it shows just how out of touch leadership is with the rank & file.
Yeah, some sort of interactive video game would work better. I mean, as long as my boy's in his room playing Grand Theft Auto he aint getting girls pregnant. -

For mothers who have lost a child - 2008
by Lady Lee inon mother's day we often forget those who are mother's but never had the chance to hold their child.
some because they chose to give their child up for adoption.
others because of miscarriage or stillbirth.

I was going to mention the same thing about Children too, but I wasn't there !

[Offtopic-we'll have to make one for fathers this year, too.]
Yes, I've always felt that fathers were ignored when suffering stillbirth. So many of the cards and sympathies were directed to my wife only.
It took many more years than my wife to accept Katy's death. -

King of the North where is he hanging out?
by edmond dantes inhave we had any new light on who the king of the north is at the present time because i need a reminder .i haven't read anything about him since the 1960s.and the last time i tried explaining it to a little old lady at the door the russian missiles were on the their way to cuba and the late night news reader, that night ,said " goodnight everyone and i hope you all have a peaceful and restfull night," which was very unusual because radio announcers did not comment after the news in those days.. thunder and lightning, frightning very very frightning, bealzeebub moma mia moma mia!.

Remember the belief in the '80's that the King of the North was the communistic powers that would at least battle with the Anglo-American powers in a limited, conventional war?
The WT Org. is expert at letting these teachings quietly fade away as they become outdated and just plain wrong. Heck, there are Witnesses now who wouldn't have a clue what we're talking about!
