reread the origional post at the top of this thread. does this sound like someone trying to help, someone trying to inform, or does it sound like a troll who somehow has forgotten that when you say something on the internet you say it to everyone? and when she got caught(duh) she just couldn't chalk it up to an illconcieved idea and move on. as far as lies are concerned, i hate to tell you ladies this but 42 years old is not a "young adult".{"auralei how old are you?" "...yes, i'm a young adult now"}. even after she was knocked off on the statute of limitations she continued to troll by playing the "are you calling me an apostate" card. i don't like trolls. i don't like them here, there, or anywhere. it is a waste of time and only gives more ammunition to those who are looking for all the ammunition they can get.

and yes al i called you all idiots because the e-watchman/anti-e-watchman world is rife with idiots who believe they are princes and judges. just like in the wtb&ts, just like on jwd, and just like the rest of the world.

when you post on someone's topic, do you expect an acknowledgement from the person who started it?

if you don't get an acknowledgment, would you stop posting on any other other topics by the person?

i personally don't expect an acknowledgement from anyone.

the problem i have with the ettiquite on jwd is that when you ask a question or questions, and the person answers, but they don't answer the questions. instead they answer with threats and hyperbole. if you don't have an answer to my questions that is fine, but don't show your ignorance by threatening me as an answer to a legitimate question. that really is too much like the organization's way of dealing with things. there seems to be two classes of people here; those who are held to proper ettiquite and those to whom ettiquite means nothing and wouldn't know proper if it bit their ass.

i never expect answers and i seldom get them.

when i came into the org.

in the early 1980's, we had a good body of elders.

they took the lead and cared for the sheep.. the oldest was in his mid- 70's, had a sharp mind, great sense of humor and was just plain cool.

not enough information here. was he being passive or aggressive? if you make an ass of yourself, you will be asked to leave no matter where you are. and if you refuse to leave the police may be called, because once you are asked to leave and refuse you are trespassing. i learned this from a number of unfortunate incidents during my old drinking days.

all right everyone who has observed a meeting at which the study conducter reads the paragraphs and the reader answers with scripture please tell me where you saw this. this has never been my experience, which has been in one state in one country but in a number of congregations.

purplesofa, in the two local congregations the reader has always been to the left. or is this a stage left--stage right thing?

using only my experience and hearing this person's description i have to say that i find it hard to believe this person has ever been in a kh, much less observed a wt study. if your experince is as he has described i really would like to know where and when.

when i first started studying with the jehovah witnesses, although i am a technical, matter of fact type of guy, the thing that got my attention was the genuine love i saw in the congregation (this was in the early 80's).

it made such a impression on me that i ignored some of the serious questions i had about the organization and went ahead and got baptized (i figured things would get sorted out over time and decided to give the society the benefit of the doubt) .

the congregation i went to was a fireball, full of activity and good works and growing fast.

if it's true that the society is starting a special campaign against "false religion", we may have them at our mercy!!!!!!!!!.

think about it: if they are stupid enough to print some cheap tract that shows churches and 'stars of david' as 'false religion', we may.

be able to cause enormous trouble by sending these to all public agencies dealing with intolerance and prejudice.. more than that, by posing as witnesses, these tracts may be sent to various people and groups with accompanying letters.

i agree with you wholeheartedly and believe this is something both the jws and many on this forum lose sight of. in the larger scope of things, in a world population of approx. 6,500,000,000 maybe 30,000,000(including witnesses, ex-witnesses, relatives, loved ones etc.) have any interest in the jehovah's witnesses. even fewer have any interest in the politics of apostasy. they don't care about them and they don't care about us. the idea that you can "educate" the 6,470,000,000 people who don't know or care about jws and that they will help us "wreck the society" is silly at best.

For All Who Are Going to the Convention This Year

for most of us who are going to the 'delieverance at hand' district convention we want to be low on the radar.

but wouldn't it be terrible if we missed out meeting someone else from the board while we attended the same convention?

listing what convention your going to might be to much of a give away for some people, but i really don't care.

i don't know you well enough to consider you an enemy. i was only replying to the words you posted. you dismissed under_believer's warning to those of us who might need to be careful. you did this without mentioning that you personally "don't have a congregation" and "don't have a po." and therefore don't have any stake in u_b's post. but you certainly sounded brave by saying you would " welcome" somebody to "report" you. and you are the one who compared yourself to one of the best known activist exjw in america. where is your picture? where are you protesting this week. where is your web site? where is your identification (phone number, address, place of business). it appears you have a long way to go before you are "like" dh.

if as you say you have no po or congregation, who would you welcome somebody reporting to you? mommy and daddy? don't challenge people to report you because you think you are safe, and then be snide about people who are not in the precious position you are in. you still haven't identified yourself have you?

as far as slinging insults, if you truly are just someone who didn't give much thought before posting what you did, i apoligize for insulting you because i've done the same thing myself. but don't insult me by pretending that someone who is anonymous, and apparently will remain anonymous, is anything like an activist. don't insult people who are keeping a low profile when you are keeping a no profile.

i've been a member of this fourm for quite sometime although i rarely post.

i do however, have my story posted on shauns' site http://jwfiles.com/jws-leaving/william.htm i also wrote and article for that site comparing the prophecies of 1925 and 1975. http://jwfiles.com/1925-1975.htm just a little background on me: i served as an elder in philadelphia.

the assembly accounts always seemed suspicious to me. they would say something to the effect of...donations $5,000--costs $3,500--donation to the society $3,000--deficit $1,500. it never added up to me. they would turn a $1,500 surplus into a deficit every time no matter how much was given they found a way to steal a little more. it was never enough. unwatched money is soon stolen.
