  why, he even has gone to some meetings at their kingdom hall!

  someone calls with a large wedding tent that they would like to donate and set up in the kingdom hall parking lot for the public memorial on friday.

  i was amazed how people who came that didnt even know whitney, but simply felt a need to be here and comfort the family.

  however, lately i've become concerned because he seems to have gotten into all these conspiracy theories such as 'chemtrails' 'illuminati' 'new world order', on top of the usual 9/11 theories and the like.

  Yes - thank you, Outlaw for that formatting tip. However, I was referring to the default text and background whilst reading the topics and posts, not when creating my own posts. Default text color is normally black. I am seeing a default color (i.e., that applied when posters have not elected to be colorful) of wimpy grey.

  Simon,

  This question seems petty, I admit, yet over the long run (for those long sessions in JWN) I'd like to know whether it is/will be possible to change the default colors of text on JWN? The pale greys and blues seem to create a sense of detachment and - well - insecurity. While a strong, black font and deep blues (navy, midnight) lend to a firmer bonding with the words. [The description may seem strange, but I have always had a strong affinity to words rather than ideographs.]

  "Pinda" is the Dutch word for "peanut." Were there many Dutch or Low German settlers in the Southern U.S.?

  Loubelle, don't you eat "pindakaas" in South Africa? Or is the Afrikaans word for "peanut butter" quite different from the Dutch?

  i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.

  he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

  Oh, I am so sorry for you and your family, Faundy! Like many others, I have missed 'hearing' Ian's/Dansk's voice on forum and I had hoped for the best. I hope he knew the peace of the good father, the good partner and the good person at his passing, for he earned it. May his wisdom go with him!
