many years ago, there were many white cars around, but since 10 years around here, maybe 1% of cars are white.
and most of them are old cars.. i don't know if this is just a local thing, but you just don't see white cars anymore in most new car dealer parking lots.. for some reason, i still like white and haven't had one in years, and i do change car often, and was wondering if white is "out" and old fashioned now a days..... i think that there are many white cars where the climate is hot, but up here in canada, it ain't so..
I owned a white Honda years and years ago. Did not like it. The reflection from the bright hood have me headaches and the area around the gas tank stained. Every spec of dirt showed, and every smashed insect really stood out. Prefer black or silver or blue.

the lawsuit is not over.
two court decisions are being appealed this fall.
i have a team of lawyers working on these appeals and they are confident that they can be won........so much so, that they are working pro bono.

Bethel is responding to the BIG NEWS ("Jehovah's Witnesses, Blood Transfusions, and the Tort of Misrepresentation").

In particular, Bethel read pages 813, 814, 815, 818, 819 & footnotes 156, 157, 178.
They are trying to come clean, and tell the average JW the truth, for a change.
Bethel realizes the $$$$$ liability is HUGE , as well as the press reports got alot of JWs to call into Bethel.
But, dear Bethel missed the part about telling the average followers how many times the JWs are getting hemoglobin, or the fact that red blood cells are transferred between mother & child or between twins at birth. So, we're still at half truths. But, I commend Bethel...they are getting closer to ditching this blood ban.

I would like to give Lawrence a and a from far away. It's devastating to him. Let's remember that first.
I've not read the case, but in the previous case he "won"on the issue that the JW lawyers (of the same firm) were representing BOTH the mother and the child. There is a conflict of interest when two sides get the same law firm. This, is, what could be reported to the Canadian Bar as an ethics violation. Plus, if Bethany was not "old" enough to decide on the blood issue, then how is she old enough to pick her own attorney (i.e. one that is aligned with the religion)? Bethany should have had an independent attorney. I do not know the details on Canadian lawyer ethics, but I "suspect" this all ain't right. In the States, the Bar would investigate, discipline, and possibly disbar an attorney for such a violation.
That being said, going forward...I doubt the JW "law firm" will represent both a parent and the child.
Remember, Bill Clinton got away with everything in the Senate investigations....but was disbarred by the Bar.

ever noticed that the most cleverest apostates are the ones that were "brought up in the truth"?
i mean people like little toe, leolaia and narkissos who provide the most intelligent dicsussions on the forum - they never chose the witnesses, but were dragged up in it.
do you think maybe they can't help but look down on the rest of us who were stupid enough to actually choose to become witnesses?
I was "brought up" in the "Truth" as a 3rd generation JW.
I need my non-JW family, which, except for one person, is not my immediate blood family or in-laws. I have no conception of what it's like to have had a "real" life or a "real" childhood. I learned everything for the first time after leaving the JWs- dating, sex, marraige, disciplining children, education, afterlife, medical care, etc. I felt like the "Jerk" learning rythem. Those who came to the Truth, have a "guidepost" on how to act outside of the Truth.
I do not "hold" anything against or for one group versus the other. I was totally duped into th JW thing earlier in my life. We all have our demons that we run from. It helps if we run from them together.
