Turning the Tables
by joelbear inno conclusions, just thoughts.. should we disfellowship all of our friends and family who are jehovah's witnesses in order to protect ourselves and in order to wake them up to see how dangerous a path they are on?.

the service report they turn in every month?.
when i was studying,i was constantly told that to become a jehovah's witness,one had to make a. public declaration by getting baptized.2 1/2 yrs after i was baptized,i was stripped of all my privileges.

apparently those hours in "preaching" are vital to ones worship, if you are not counting time, then chances are you won't "count" in the eyes of GOD. you'll end up on the "hit-list" at the big A...
my mom would literally get out of her death bed to put in time..a few hours around the assisted living home would send her back to her bed for days, if not weeks.
then to top it off, at her "memorial" at the kh, the elder said that "if jehovah chose too, and was happy with her (works) , then He may or may not recreate her DNA"...
i had to endure that horse-pucky watching my active jw sisters in hysterics( so much for the faith in this ressurection) and be shunned by most of the jw's there.....
so...there is my 2 cents on reporting field service.....
itll never be enough for the GB.....
one should be pushing awakes with your last dying breath..HA

Giving the Gift of Life--Blood
by JAVA inmy elderly mother was hospitalized twice since january, and received blood transfusions both times.
she is alive today because of this life-giving treatment.
i donated blood last week (the first time) for the following reasons:.

i think you have done something great. when i "came-out" i was pretty adament about not recieving blood. looking back i used the excuses of AIDS and other undetectable deseises, for not wanting a transfusion. now i know it was only fear and a deeply rooted indoctrination of jw'ism.
so, now if i need to have whole blood, i'm ok with it. it took awhile to research the amount of info, but as far as i can see, blood is ok. the jw control is deep and destuctive.i can find no logical reason to not acceppt the blood of another to save my life.
for those leaving the "kult" i pray that you have peace and resolve this matter in your quest for FREEDOM from the bondage of the watchtower.

The well's drying up
by expatbrit inlast weekend we had dinner with my wife's family.
they had just "enjoyed" their circuit assembly.. their circuit met in two halves over two weeks (avoids the mad scramble to the dining room that way).
total baptized for the entire circuit (a city circuit)?

yet my husband still goes and i always envision him going in and the hardy handshakes he gives, greeting and being greeted, sitting there with all those suits with the secrets hidden inside, and all those pretty dresses hiding the pain.
if i wasnt disassociated, i wonder if i would be bolder, speak up, be honest with the "friends" instead of toeing the company line.

why does it seem that fornication is the only "real" sin in the jw religion?
i mean people can slander, be gluttonous, get drunk and have unethical business practices, but god forbid you should have a little sex.

about the glutony...apart from those with a medical problem( i have a dear friend who does suffer this)
have you noticed the over wieght sisters out number the bros?? i think they are sad, lonely and miserable, as are most who turn to food for comfort..and honey i have been there.
even among the "worldly" this is a problem, but i noticed it back when i was a dubber. and tell me if i am wrong, but it seems more prevalent here in the south.
you can't have sex, if your married you're probably miserable, armageddon is "just around the corner", you might have 10 kids....what else is there besides food????
women do have it rough i think in jdub land, and probably half of the ladies i knew were obese, many had mental problems, and 20 years later, some of the ones i knew are divorced or dead......
