Stephen most of us me included hated going door to door.
But what of informal witnessing? That may I add you can
but in as time spent in the ministry. So heres YOUR idea back
at you. Mostly everything said here is witnessing in one form
or another. Some of us but in many hours here. So who out
there is game to submiting a field service report? Just think
some will even have enough hours to be qualified as pioneers.
No matter what your permament record says about you, you
can still witness it's a command is it not. What would they do what would they say? Is anybody out there up for this GAME
it could be quite fun. Hope all have a peaceful and safe day.

the NEW Preaching work

consider this........ you did not sign anything when you "became a jw" and if you have left , drifted or even been d/fd you most likely did not officailly declare your statment to not be a jw.. so then by the power vested in freedom of religion......you still are...which means of course you are protected under the same.
ridiculous laws the faithful attenders are......... .

Moving on

it's been years for me and i actually have never come to a board like this until recently.
i'm just curious, how is everybody doing in that regard?

Just my 2 cents. When I was lost a sweet young lady gave me
a King James Bible, and I walked around it for a while. But
when I finally opened it and read well the light came on. So
if you don't have anything but the NWT. please go get a
different BIBLE any thats not tied to a certain religion. Ask
for the "LORDS" spirit to be with you and open it to any part
of the New Testament. Which ever book the 'SPIRIT" leads
you to. Trust in the BIBLE the LORD and HOLY SPIRIT throw
all preconcieved ideas out and just start reading. One verse
at a time ask whats going on? It won't take long to know
who's the hearer of prayers and whose name to call on.
I had my dad get me the witness bible with the greek in
it side by side franz's version.Jehovah is not their never
remember it's their publication.

by larc ini found some interesting statistics, some of which you may know, that indicate that the wtbts is in decline.. 1. in the twenty years from 1970 to 1990, the rate of yearly increase dropped from 10% to 6%.
in the last 10 years it has dropped from 6% to about 2%.
since the world population growth is about 1.5% they are only growing at about 1/2 of 1% faster than the population.. 2. in 1999, there were 21 large countries that showed a decline.

They have made many changes in the past 5 years and the
most recent one about the "EVIL SLAVE" being cut assunder
the GB resigning has more faithful followers than ever scratching
their head.The only way they can save the publication part of
their empire is by throwing millons and millions at RAY and
praying he'd front the mess. Or what does a vital cult need a
charasmatic leader. Is Charlie getting out any time soon?
Think this organization can become the front for the anti-Christ?
Anything is possible I just think it's had it's day in the sun and
soon[25years or so] they will only be a foot note of one of those
cults with strange ideas. -

Stillin truth love your quote from Psalm 145:15 but doesn't
the origanal version say"whose GOD is YHWH" and that
name by all bible scholars including the writers of the
wbts gospel of the watchtower is YAHWEH. The name
Jehovah didn't come into existance until way way after
Jesus died and rose again. By the way every time my mom
says Jehovah I say you mean YAHWEH don't you drives her
nuts. Oh one more thing read your bible I believe that the
GOD of the hebrews and Jesus is the same persona lot
of scriptures seem to indicate they are one and the same. -

Just signed on today, have been reading comments for a week
or so. I may make a lot of comments with a song reference user name is not where I'm at it's a great blues song. I've been in and out and out and in the darkness for about thirty years. In the light now never to enter into the darkness again. My family and I were part of the group that ate of that great feast of the early 70's we still experience cramps and run to the bathroom every once in a while. But I enjoy the warmth of the light now some times the warmth gets a little much being I live in Phx. Was lead into the dark in N.J. Englishman the remark related to an old Joe Cocker
album[dates me dosen't] and the fact that I'm all about Peace Love and Understanding . As for the cutie who hasn't been on vacation in such a long time fly out I have an extra room for you.
You can enjoy the Grand canyon the beautiful swimming pools and everthing else this vacation spot has to offer, lots of golf. But if you don't come soon don't bother once it gets in triple digits out here it lasts for about 120 days,they do keep count. although believe me on this it's not hot until it hits 106, really thats the truth. Sorry for my first posting showing up twice. Still figuring out how this all works. Hey Englishman are you also a MAD DOG, I haven't filled out a profile. Are you putting me also in that catagorey. I plan on going to N.Y. and celeabrating all night ,
week, month, and eternity long when that almighty tower falls into the river.I thought some of the things we didn't like was lack of freedom of speech and the way the society pidgeon holed people. I agree with wendy come into the light people and let the LORDS love shine in your life. -
