  Fantasy Olympics.

  so beijing is going to hold the olympic games in 2008. unbelieveable.. human rights are now no longer an issue, apparently.. some would say that the chinese government will now be all luvvy-duvvy to its people so that they don't get the elbow before the games start.

  taiwan is over the moon - no invasion for at least 6 years.. ok, thats the heavy stuff over for a minute!

  out of curiosity, lets see which country you would like to see hold the olympic games in 2012.. oh yes, you can't vote for your own country!.

  Kismet what does a sporting event have to do with
  human rights. What good effect of not letting the chinesse
  have the olympics would come to there citizens. Even
  the Dalhi Lama thought it was a good idea.

  BTW---How did I bad mouth the U.S.? Unless stating
  a FACT in your oppinion means I bad mouthed something.

  I'm thrilled at living anywhere it sure beats the alternative.
  Of course being a white american in china sure wouldn't
  be much fun. Maybe as much fun as japanesse AMERICANS
  had during the second world war when they were sent to
  camps because they had slanted eyes. That wasn't very
  long ago in the whole sceme of things.(i guess you would
  consider that FACT another bad mouth)

  We treated black people in parts of this country as dogs up to the sixties nobody stopped us from having the olympics.
  Why do all countries have to be on the same page as us?
  Let the chinesse government and it's people work things
  out themselves. If you think we can change the worlds
  most powerful nation (in a non-nuclear war) from without
  you need to be deprogramed.

  Seeker first let me tell you I really liked your slant on
  things on the "American bashing thread"

  Now I love music and i'm sort of lost on what your getting at.
  As for me I sort of go around in an ever growing circle.
  Like Dylan I went from folk and country to rock and roll
  back to folk than rock, jazz---R&B---to blues---onto rap
  finding things I enjoy in each. Thus returning off and on
  to each with Claptons Guitar and Dylan's Lyrics as the
  cornerstones.

  Hey it's friday night and I here the whistle's blowing and
  the beat thumbing and I have a dime to spend on
  Donna Summer and the "BAD GIRLS" so really if the
  song is good it is good even if it's DISCO.

  Anywhere but the U.S until it gets rid of the DEATH PENALTY.

  Why do we think we can change human rights for
  people worldwide? Lets start with our own back yard
  lets look at the RAFTERS in our own eyes. When we
  can look around and see all that we can see is good
  then we can widen are small sphere of influence to
  include more people. Until then let the atheltes compete
  and let the chinesse people see the outside world for
  after all it is REALLY up to them to get there own human
  rights-----it's there backyard.

  TR------I was hoping to come back and say well done
  my brother. But it looks like you have learned well from
  brooklyn. Because you went back and rewrote your
  comments just like the cult you say sucks I guess you
  do to. In your origanal response you were proud of this

  that was there but i do. My brother twice my favorite cousin
  (who BTW lost a lung over there) once and a bunch of
  my twin sisters friends. The PEOPLE there wanted us to

  As far as the gulf war----We were there for our greed and

  the war but was over ruled. Thats why Powell is Secrartary

  Taxes my friend well----liars figure and figures lie. I know
  this in the 70's I only paid social security taxes until april
  or may. But once Regean got done with raping the trust
  fund to give us a tax cut ha ha ha ha and started out spending
  the U.S.S.R. on defense WE all pay ALL year and that tax my
  brother is represive. As for pops promise if he couldn't
  deliver it he shouldn't have promised it.

  The reason you are PROUD to be an AMERICAN is because
  your a bully and America has the power and money to kick ass case closed.

  I guess I should have never thought highly of you from the

  Mommy---I live in AZ. and the leading cause of death
  for children 0--4 years old is drowning. We have public
  service announcments on the radio and tv all day long
  and still they drown. It makes me sick seeing these parents
  on tv crying accident, accident. The accident from the dad
  was firing that sperm in the first place and dear ol' mom
  catching it now that was an accident.

  Willy------I'm against the death penalty I was just trying
  to make a point, It looks like some people actually
  got it this time. No one brought up my reference of
  McVeigh which I was just using to try and make people
  think about the MEDIA's use of the term INNOCENT children.
  MEDIA never use's the term INNOCENT chlidren in these
  ACCIDENTAL deaths, of well I guess the MEDIA would have
  to say guilty children.

  i received this news item in my email today-thought it might be of interest to some.

  indefinite treatment law upheld arizona court favors confining sexually violent predators indefinitely by alisa blackwood the associated press p h o e n i x, july 12 the arizona supreme court today upheld a law that allows the state to keep sexually violent predators confined indefinitely for treatment after they've served their criminal sentences.

  the court of appeals had ruled feb. 15 that the law was unconstitutional because it did not require a finding that a person was unable to control urges to commit sex crimes.

  4 children have DIED locked in cars.THE PARENTS
  MEANT NO HARM"---what spin---respect for Brian gone.
  Two more INNOCENT children die NBC not calling
  for blood this time.Two stories so "warmly "given two different dads two , two different states, one in a mini-van, another in a SUV.One baby 4 months old the other 6 months old.Can ANY father out there tell me how this is accidental? Story ,seems the dads put there babies into vehicles in there car seats and left for work. On the way to work they FORGOT to drop there babies off at day care. They got to work got out of car and locked the door and went
  into work. Leaving there babies to die inside car.
  ACCIDENTAL----ACCIDENTAL all over NBC's story.
  This is MURDER my fellow fathers the babies are
  DEAD and the fathers are to blame----should we
  execute then-------hell we won't even indict them it was after all JUST an ACCIDENT. The MEDIA spins it all
  in case you didn't know that.

  To me this is much worse then bombing unknown
  childern.(and there is some debate if Tim knew they were
  there or not and if he knew when he did.) These guys were the BABIES DAD's and they FORGOT they were in the very car they put them in. FORGOT----ACCIDENTAL----------
  NO HARM MEANT. If nothing else these guys should be
  castrated but we all know thats crule and inhumane
  punishment, and after all they did nothing wrong it was
  all an accident.

  America Bashing

  with all of the america bashing going on of late, i thought i'd mention the fact that america stands for freedom, as flawed as our system may be.

  you're even free to be critical of the government and it's leaders.

  the many men and women who have died defending this country did so to preserve the rights even of people who hate the u.s. there are many different cultures here, so there are many different attempts at creating laws for the land.

  Bigboi-The Japanesse were much more accustom to the jungles of the pacfic than us. They lost not because
  of backward thinking they lost for the same reason
  the south did and you said it yourself "limited resources".
  POWER and MONEY wins 99% of the time in battle
  were both sides have their heart set on winning.
  What are you missing--------We won the cold war
  because we could out spend the U.S.S.R. case closed.
  They ran out of resources before us thats it.
