Need help finding article

i was watching a show tonight with my wife that dealt with organ transplants and my wife asked me if it was "ok" for a jw to donate organs.

i said yes then said "unless you live in 1955".

she didn't know what i was talking about so i told her that jw's were not always '"allowed" to get organ tranplants.

sometime within the past couple of weeks someone here mentioned joseph zygmunt's ph.

d. dissertation about jehovah's witnesses.

a question was asked about where the dissertation could be obtained from.

I have Curry's dissertation in PDF (12MB) and Cronn-Mills' dissertation (9MB) in PDF.

PM me if you want to try to e-mail them or some other method of transfer.

I believe my ISP can handle 12MB...not certain though.

There are other options also.

On the other hand, you may not be interested in the dissertations.

i just checked out the kingdom of the cults by r. zacherias from the library, origionally published in 1965 it has be revised and re-released in 2003 and it had some very interesting background info on c.t.

My guess is that Penton is examining Martin's work on Jehovah's Witnesses because Penton is an expert on Jehovah's Witnesses and, as an expert, would be in a position to judge what Martin wrote about JWs.

Penton is not an expert on, say, followers of Moon, so would not be in the best position to judge Martin's scholarship on Moon.

Martin's books should be used for "clues" etc. Whereas Penton you can cite in any academic paper.

For a carpenter illustration: Martin you have build your deck. Penton you have build your kitchen cabinets.

i need the number of remnant for the last 15 years, preferably from the "year book" and the average age of the remnant in 2006. my initial work shows the population figures are tampered with.. i think i can pinpoint what the wts is doing here and how they come up with the figures they do.. thanks for any help here

My suggestion, then, is that you download the Watchtower CD at www.reexamine.org

It is an ISO image file so you'll need software (freeware or share ware) to convert it for use.

Next, use the search function and hunt for the exact numbers.

Finally, you can post the numbers so they'll be in the archives for the person behind you. :-)

He was "at the top" from 17 - 27 years of age?
Guess I don't get it?
