I pulled a Penton article from 1979 I’d be happy to e-mail to anyone that could use it in research:
Jehovah's Witnesses and the Secular State: A Historical Analysis of Doctrine
18 pages 1.22 MB.
PM me if interested.

forgive me if i sound rude or this question has been answered elsewhere, as i am a neophyte and discovered your site through google in my religious studies.
from reading the various posts it seems that this site serves nothing more than an iconoclastic purpose.
was your experience as jw's so traumatic that now you can but put forth such effort to daemonize the religion?
Why do you ask?
for several years there has been available a pay attention to yourselves and to the flock book in pdf and html format.
this book has proven to be extremely valuable in exposing the morally questionable activities of the watchtower society.
now we have a new version that is even more valuable because it contains the hand-written notes of a presiding overseer, some notes as recent as late 2005. these notes are frequently dictated to elders by a circuit overseer or district overseer in order to avoid liability (the wts can deny every giving such instructions).
Thank you. Already one of the marginal notes is of use to me. Man, this guy liked to underline. Thanks again
anyone with the may 2006 us km, can you please post scans of it or get it to reexamine.org?
BTTT
how were the doomsday dumplings?.
seriously, was the food good?
i used to hear it was awesome; somehow i don't believe that!
the damn Watchtman duties had some benefits. Since you had the keys to all the offices, you also had the key to the kitchen...during a run, I would grab me some govement cheese and sneak back out like a rat.
I used to have most of my watchman shifts at 360 ...the only cheese there was what the rats ...and I mean big rats.... would leave behind.
There were still "worldy" tenants on some of the floors ...a cosmetic company, etc....it was spooky some of the time....but it got one out of a meeting. :-)

I've sent this study to a handful of people who requested it and am more than happy to do so.
However, more than one person has requested the study but not supplied an e-mail address to which I can send the study.
Unless you can instruct me on how to send it to you via this site (a feat I don't think is possible...but might be?) I'll need a regular e-mail.
Set up a Yahoo, Hotmail, or other web-based free account if you're worried about privacy.
Best regards.
i just got this song by linkin park, and it basicaly sings everything i've wanted to tell my parents for years!
if you've heard it before you'll probaly agree with me.
so i decide to share the lyrics with you:
You can hear this song at http://www.linkinpark.com/index.php
About half way down the left hand side....hit "play" and then keep hitting the "next" button until the song "numb" displays and plays.
does anyone know where it mentioned that rutherford was involved in william jennings bryan's presidential campaign(s)?
also, i recall reading that rutherford said bryan was god's choice as president for the usa!
if that was so, then it is very strange that bryan was never elected president!.
Penton mentions on page 47 that Rutherford was attracted to Bryan's "populist ideals" and footnotes to page 348 that Rutherford actually campaigned for Bryan.

I forgot to mention the Thomas' English Muffins which were available for free...day(s) old stuff...but free.
On one family night skit they did a "101 Things to do with the Thomas' English Muffins" skit. Quite funny.
Door stops, mini-pizzas, etc...
