OK folks, do you know your southern language?
by jam inwhen i served where the need is great, i wrote down some.
of the most amazing phrase that people say in the south.. straight to the point.. a few that i found.
guess what is being said.. 1) as easy as sliding off a greasy log backward.. 2)busy as a stump-tailed cow in fly time.. 3)either fish or cut bait.. 4)even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then.. 5)happy as a dead pig in the sunshine.

First of all, I'm kinda freaked out that Burns and I agree on something again.
I deal with chronic pain as well, and I would smoke it more often if I could afford it. The folks who are comparing weed to alcohol are comparing apples to oranges. Just a couple of puffs makes that inner screaming go away, but I can still function. Clean house, cook dinner, help with homework. It will never be legal because Big Pharma has their paws into everything.
If I ate all the Lortabs docs would prescribe for my back pain, my liver would be shot and I'd probably be dead.
The corporations are controlling our government. It wouldn't surprise me if having a vegetable garden is illegal before long.

I'm in Alabama, so I can relate.
I've heard things referred to as being "as dangerous and wiping your butt with a butcher knife"
The sun shines on every dog's ass one day.
I'm very fond of "bless your heart" It can indicate sympathy or they could be calling you a dumbass. Context is everything!

"Feeling sorry for yourself" about being hit by your husband is not Christian 2/15/12 WT Page 25 P 12
by yourmomma inhave anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

If the WT dumped 1914 tommorow ...?
by faithfulslavedriver inthis is my first post here.
i've been a lurker for awhile but had no particular desire to join until the other day.. anyways, do you think that if wt decided to face the fact that 607-1914 is an indefensible pile of crap that has been artificially kept steaming for way too long, would it really kick off a mass exodus or anything?
in the short term the fds/gb might lose some authority, but they are hemorrhaging people anyways keeping it around (607 started me on the road to this place).. if wt stopped talking about 1914 for awhile then later killed it, blaming it on "further research" or something, and acknowledged some uncertainty in 607/587, i really doubt that very many of the r&f would think much about it.

Looks like someone got a peek at the "man behind the curtain"
Their authority is just what they commanded. Once it doesn't come to pass they should sell their real estate and make off like bandits.
