I was in elementary school in the 70's, But I really liked the Bee Gees. And that "Knock of Wood" song. But the Stones are my all time favorite. The Stones have a good beat and you can dance to it. :)

Becka,
You go girl!! Isn't RE4 the baddest? I love assignment Ada (on PS2). How many stars have you gotten on the Mercenaries?
I finally found the first Fatal Frame last week. I know it's old but I didn't buy it when it first came out and it got really hard to find! It's creepy but must be played in the dark.
Oh, and I went back to play RE2 and got my butt kicked because of the controls. Didn't realize how far the technology had come until I tried to play the old games again. I can still play the old Tombraider games without that problem though. Strange. Lara is great!! She can hit her boobs on a brick wall and just keep on climbing. Whatta woman.

Lurkers and JW apologists: Please read this experience and consider.
by ozziepost init was on another thread (jwfacts' one about his jc meeting) that i posted a personal experience and it occurred to me, that although it is well behind me and i don't dwell on it (much!
), it may be of some help to those who visit here and are unsure what they think about their jw beliefs.. i wrote:.
mrs ozzie and i agreed to have a representative from bethel come to visit us as a friend.

Ozzie (nice to meet you, btw),
That statement sent a chill through my whole body. I was reading on another website, can't remember which one, about 4 years ago. It talked about JW's and ouija boards. Anyway, the story went that a couple of teenage witnesses got a contact using an ouija board. The kids asked the spirit if it feared Jehovah's Witnesses. The reply was "No, we have their children." Chilling. I wish I could remember where I read that.
But it's true. Even the ones who manage to leave are still somehow "captive".

Something I wonder.......
by DaveNwisconsin ina month ago my mother died.
she had been a witness for 40 years.
when she was sick she got me wondering if all the witnesses think that this system will come to an end in there lifetime and they won't have to go thru death?

This was just on my mind the other day. I NEVER thought I would be 37 old! Like the earlier post, I spent my whole life thinking: I'll never finish elementary school, never get a driver's license, never marry, never see 25 before Jehovah kills me in a murderous rage. (Somehow I never expected that I would live through Armageddon--not good enough) Now I'm trying to wrap my mind around getting old. Bummer. If you had told me when I was 12 years old that I'd be staring at 40 I would've laughed at you. I'm not laughing anymore.

One less thing I could get df'd for!
by Deleted inwell, if exit polls are grounds to call the presidency just hours into the vote count then i can conclude that in only 3 days of quitting the tobacco habit that this it!.
7 years ago when i left the borg i started smoking cigars, as it went well with scotch, and was deliciously a naughty thing to do after 18 years in the cult(ure).
i started to inhale, as i am prone to do, and then concluded i would be better off with cigarettes.

I would love to quit, but I fear I would kill someone. At the least I would be impossible to live with. I'm moody as it is. Me and hubby are going to get some gum and try it. He better be ready for some pent up frustration. We'll make it through.

I have Grand Turismo 1 & 2. Cool game. I like Need for Speed also, but I'm not that great a driver. I like RE cos it's point and shoot. Also, the disaster is man-made--the zombies are from US not Satan. Same difference, heh?

Hey peeps! Any of you into video games? Seems there would be a few who are because they are some cool people here. I've been playing since Tombraider came out on PS1. My first games were TR and Resident Evil. Resident Evil 4 is awesome on PS2, of course the RE series is my favorite, so I may be biased.
Not gonna spend $400 on a 360 though, I have enough Bill Gates' with this computer. It will depend on how broke I am when PS3 comes out whether I get one or not. (Probably not til the price comes down).
Anybody have any recommendations on a good game? We have God of War, and the Devil May Cry series--pretty good!

Hey Kitty, nice to meet you.
The only thing I can play is the stereo. But we have a nice system with Bose 901 unlimited wattage speakers! COOL!! Reading these posts reminds me of Nickelback's new song "Rockstar" It's great, y'all should check it out. The lyrics are way past great. We bought our 9 yr old son a guitar for Christmas, bought our daughter a set of drums. :) Are we crazy or what????
Speaking of music, since it seems alot of you are like me, has anyone ever heard a song by a band called "Bender" called "Isolate"? Seems to me it was written by an ex-dub. If I could find the lyrics I would post them, but my puter is running so slow I'm lucky to even be able to type this message to y'all. The line that haunts me in that song is: Did you ever have to leave, and leave yourself outside the door? Did you ever have to leave this perfect woman? Okay that was two lines but the whole song is awesome! The lead singer sounds kinda like the guy from The Cult.

I would post my story, but I've moved past it---for the most part. No abuse, just tossed on my head for "going to far" with worldly boys one time too many. Shoulda deflowred an elder's son. Naw, unless I could have found a really naughty one. Ahhhhh, youth.
