  Anyone else raised in a "divided" household?

  hey folks!.

  i've noticed there are many here who were raised "in the truth".

  are there any who were raised in a divided household--where one parent is not a jw?.

  Education

  this is one of my pet peeves about the society.. drilling it into our heads that an education is useless in a world that is coming to an abrupt end--any day now!.

  i graduated high school 7th in a class of 118. guess what?

  i worked at mcdonald's.

  Can you have massive stock investments without slaving for riches?

  reading through the thread about doing work for churches got me thinking about something, especially the chart on rand cam.. why does the watchtower invest in the stock market in the first place?

  couldn't they use that money to build kingdom halls?

  to be that heavily involved in the "world" would be prohibited--as least you would think so.

  how many of you lead double lives while growing up (especially those who grew up jw)?

  in the last few days, it seems that bothers me about my adolescence.

  i had to be one person for my mother, while still trying to be myself.

  i typed this whole thing out and lost it when i hit submit.. did anyone notice how the hip hop community was deathly silent about tookie williams?

  could it be because recording corporations are making millions from inner-city misery?

  think about it, hip hop glorifies thug life.

  Collateral damage

  hello folks, this is the first topic i've started, so bear with me please.. i had searched the internet to try and find my way, made a stop here a couple of years ago but just now decided to join.

  anyhoo, in all my searching i've realized that many ex-jws aren't dealing well.

  that raises a question for me, because after finally reading the gospels i realized jesus would never treat people the way the gb does even in the interest of keeping a congregation clean (which is a joke, btw).. the anger seems to come out of nowhere.
