Also, Friday night is one of the least active times on the forum. The weekend in general is less active, but it starts to pick up over Sunday afternoon and in to the week. You won't be neglected

Conservative America and "The Meaning of the Flag-Draped Coffin"
by SweetBabyCheezits intoday i received a mass-fwd email from a fellow employee (down here in baptist country) entitled the meaning of the flag-draped coffin.
i'm pasting the intro to it below the full email can be enjoyed by clicking the link.. all americans should be given this lesson.
those who think that america is an arrogant nation should really reconsider that thought.

"Religion...is the Opium of the People" - What did Marx Mean?
by cofty inwhen read in context karl marx was not directly attacking religion when he wrote those famous words.. .
religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and the protest against real distress.
religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation.

Can't disagree with old Karl.................
We seem to be at another point in history where the "aristocracy" is wielding so much power, they aren't even pretending to be diplomatic.

The fair and balanced reporting of Fox News
by keyser soze incheck out this clip from the bill o'reilly show.
supposedly it's of protesters at the capitol in wisconsin, designed to show how volatile they are becoming.
notice the palm trees in the background.

Beksbks:
That said, I don’t think it is in any danger of being annihilated anytime soon. Fox does quite well because it fills a need, a vacuum, just like Rush Limburger does, that is why they are both number one at what they do, they fill the void, and I wish both of them well.
I saw the warm weather short sleeve shirts, I saw the cop on horseback, I saw the palm trees, and understood it was related to the union protests,
I got the context and did not feel manipulated and was able sort it out, I but that’s just me.
Ok I accept that as your honest belief, I don't agree for the stated reason above.
That withstanding, I see a lot of the folks who lean a little left to have a tendency to be overly critical of fox. It is the only conservative leaning news stations we here in the states, so I guess it is a target. But so many see the boogie man in every story they run. I have heard many wishing, hoping, and even praying for its demise. It bothers me to think some people feel that way.
Freeman
Well Freeman, you've explained much with this post. Your perception of the story says nothing of thier intention. If this was another news source, if this was the first time Fox had been caught perpetrating this kind of deceit, I would give 'em a break. But it's not, it's typical.
As for the supposed liberal media. By repeating that meme, you simply show your ignorance and stubborn ideology.

Sorry Freeman, weak argument. The clip was already used in a previous segment. This segment was specifically about Wisconsin. Fox's MO isn't always flat out lies, it's propaganda. This is a perfect example. They are implying that what they are discussing and the film they are showing are connected.
