  what will they do?

  you all have been so helpful to me, much thanks to you guys.. due to the recent posts about df'ing and the like i was wondering what would happen to me.

  i'm 19 soon to be 20, i'm an unbaptized publisher but i want to fade and leave this crappola.

  my plan is to first finish school and move out and move on.

  Hey bluebeads,

  In the "Organized To Do Jehovah's Will" book on pages 157-158, it talks about unbaptized publisher's and wrongdoing. If the UB is unrepentant, an announcement is made that they are no longer recognized as a UB and cannot turn in field service time. They are viewed as a person of the world and its up to the individual JW to associate with them or not based on 1 Co 15:33.

  However as stilla said, they can't shun you because you are not baptized, but most JWs I know, they will take a hardline stance and probably shun since they think they are following 1 co 15:33. Depends on what kind of pressure the elders will put on your family if they continue to associate with you.

  I have a problem with the photo of Pat Robertson doing the 2000 pound leg press. If you notice, the handles of the machine are turned in, the handles are near the seat. If that is the case, the safety catch is active and at most he can get about 6 inches of movement from the catch to full lockout.

  Elders making shepherding calls using Keep On The Watch! brochure

  i heard first hand from an elder that they are makin shpeherding calls using certain pages of the keep on the watch!

  brochure, at the direction of the society.. i can't remember the page numbers, but the article is about our priorities and having a sense of urgency in the times we live in.. as this is coming from the society, do you think they are worried, what with their 1.3% increase for 2005 service year?.

  i mean, this is 2006 after all, not 1998 - the society have given jw's nothing to hope for anymore, no sense of the impending doom of babylon the great.

  I had a shepherding call about a month ago and this brochure was never brought up. I haven't heard anything about using this brochure, but I haven't been to the meetings for a couple of months. Doubt I'll lose any sleep over it either.

  Are you allowed to fall asleep at the meetings now??

  the sercuit overseer gave the expierence about an interested one who would come to the meetings every sunday but admitted he would always fall asleep because he worked a double shift at work the night before.

  the s.o said: "and sure enough he fell asleep during my talk.

  " but he said that it was so encouraging because even though he worked the night before he still tried to get what little he could of the talk and the guy related afterwards: "i would not want to be caught falling asleep anywhere else but at the hall.

  HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT VIDEO TAPING

  my friend, who is still attending meetings, tried to video tape a part on the theocratic school.

  he was told to take it down.

  is this one individual's opinion?

  That's a new one on me.

  I know many a parent who has videotaped the TMS when their child had a part on the school.

  Also, I've seen many at the District conventions that would videotape the drama.

  Of all the times I've seen JWs videotaping, no one told them to take it down. Sounds like a case of a local arrangment versus orginizational. Might be an elder who think he is God's gift to the org.

  Hint of disillusionment among bethelites regarding downsizing?

  here is an email i got from a jw friend regarding the downsizing.. can you sense the uneasiness in the last part of the message?.

  to the bethelites after the watchtower study monday.
