  39you are searching the scriptures, because you think that by means of them you will have everlasting life; and these are the very ones that bear witness about me.. 40and yet you do not want to come to me that you may have life.. jesus clearly explains that it is not through the scriptures that we have everlasting life.

  i remember when i was new in the "troof", i was walking in a mall and a jw window washer saw me, and asked, "what are you doing here"?.

  yeah, he had a good reason to be at the mall, cause he was washing windows, but i had no business there.... i guess he thought that i was being seduced by material stuff.... and i was stupid enough, not to tell him, mind your own business fu**er....

  Outsourced Call Center Frustration

  for the most part i have never had a problem with call centers based in india.

  whenever there seemed to be an issue, i chalked it up to a communication issue.

  today, however, is a different story.. i booked a trip on delta but my frequent flier account is with continental.

  i attended two days of the dc.

  the only three points that i took home with me is that the end is near, higher education is a no no, and that the brothers have a problem with pornography.

  i was in amazement at the number of witnesses that take notes as fast as the speaker is talking.

  Now it's all just general crud that means nothing.

  Drew, that is exactly the same way I felt. I was thinking the first day that the recurring theme for each talk was not on Deliverance, but on loyalty to the GB and the society. Same old drivel was spouted out about meetings and associating with Jehovah's people but nothing about the "Critical Times" we are living in.

  i recently went to the dc in duluth, ga this past weekend and i have to say, it was the best one yet.

  the restaurants around the area were superb!

  95stormfront: Yes, I did follow the society's direction and brought my own lunch to the convention. Wouldn't want to miss the joyful and upbuilding fellowship with Jehovah's people. However, I did not wear my convention badge but wore an "I'm with Stupid" T-Shirt and my "Gilead Grads Do It Missionary Style!"

  I recently went to the DC in Duluth, GA this past weekend and I have to say, it was the best one yet. The restaurants around the area were superb! As far as the DC was concerned, SOS.

  Anyway, why I have this on my mind, I don't know, but I find it to be funny:

  The talk on having a balanced view on healthcare says that we should be cautious on trying therapies which could be linked to the occult or pagan. Yet, no concrete examples were provided.

  The talk on education said that 70% of jobs in the next few years would be service related and would require nothing more than a associates degree, so there is no need to pursue a university education. Yet, the source of that statement was not provided.

  The final talk on the 3rd day, the speaker said that a University President stated that higher education offers no benefits whatsoever. Yet, the name of the University nor the President was ever mentioned.

  But during announcements, if you want to make a donation by check please make it out to "Watch Tower". That is Watch Tower with 2 words. Finally, some explicit instructions!
